      Orioles’ manager Brandon Hyde told reporters on Friday that X-rays on the injured right hand of catcher Adley Rutschman came back negative for any fractures.

      Advice: The 26-year-old backstop injured his hand when he was hit by a foul tip during Thursday’s victory over the Rangers. Rutschman admitted to being a bit sore on Friday but said that he felt much better overall. It was just the fourth multi-hit game of the season for Robert, who missed a couple months earlier this season with a hip flexor strain. While he has struggled to the tune of a .204 batting average and 38 strikeouts over 114 plate appearances for the moribund White Sox, his AB/HR ratio of 12.9 is a career-best mark and portends to good things to come for the 26-year-old slugger. The first baseman recorded his fourth straight multi-hit game, a span in which he's gone 9-for-19 with with three homers and 11 RBI. The right-hander did tie a season-worst mark in allowing nine hits, but only one of those -- a fourth-inning Adolis Garcia solo homer -- went for extra bases.
