Two more runners would reach in the inning on a walk and a base hit before Miller could escape the frame. He’d be done after four on 83 pitches, walking a season-high four batters while striking out five.       Athletics’ manager Mark Kotsay told reporters after Wednesday’s game that Zack Gelof was diagnosed with a left oblique strain and will likely head to the injured list.

No word yet on how much time he may miss, but oblique injuries usually take at least a couple of weeks to recover and could be even longer depending on the severity.
