  • Turner homers, scores three runs vs. D'Backs
Justin Turner went 2-for-3 with a home run Saturday in the Dodgers' 6-4 defeat of the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Turner slugged a solo home run in the first inning off Diamondbacks starter Jeremy Hellickson. He also drew a walk and scored a run in the third inning and then doubled and scored in the seventh inning, finishing the game with a total of three runs. Turner is batting .300 with a .958 OPS in 18 games this season and should continue to see semi-regular playing time at third base. Juan Uribe was out of the lineup Saturday for the second straight game. Rotoworld.com

  • Cozart smacks fifth home run of season
Zach Cozart homered and singled twice against the Braves on Saturday, finishing 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Advice: Cozart hit the two-run homer in the ninth inning, providing a little cushion for the Reds in what had been a three-run game. Coming off a .221/.268/.300 season, Cozart's offensive numbers to start the 2015 season are surprising, to say the least. He's slashing .308/.340/.538, with five home runs, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored over 91 at-bats. Enjoy the offensive spoils while they last. Rotoworld.com

  • Flaherty on track to begin rehab assignment
Ryan Flaherty tested his injured groin Saturday by running the bases.

Advice: Flaherty is hoping to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie on Monday. He could be joined there by J.J. Hardy (shoulder), who also worked out on Saturday. Flaherty is eligible to come off the disabled list Friday when the Orioles visit the Yankees. Reynaldo Navarro will likely be the odd man out when Flaherty returns to the infield. Rotoworld.com

J.J. Hardy (shoulder) took live batting practice on Saturday.

Advice: He also took soft toss throws from hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh. If Hardy feels up to it, he'll begin a rehab assignment Monday with Double-A Bowie. Hardy slipped offensively last season (.263, 9 HR in 529 at-bats) but was excellent in the field, winning his third Gold Glove. Everth Cabrera has filled in at shortstop during his absence. • Jimmy Rollins not in Dodgers' lineup Sat.
Jimmy Rollins is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup on Saturday night against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It's a day of mental and physical rest for the veteran shortstop, who's batting just .179/.278/.321 in 22 games this year. Enrique Hernandez is starting at short and Joc Pederson is leading off for Los Angeles. Rotoworld.com

  • Chris Owings goes 0-for-4
Chris Owings went 0-for-4 as the Diamondbacks' No. 2 hitter Friday night.

Advice: The Diamondbacks knew they were carrying two offensive zeroes in Tuffy Gosewisch and Nick Ahmed; they can hardly afford for Owings to be a third. However, here he is with a .215 average and a 24/2 K/BB ratio through 79 at-bats. He needs to improve quickly or risk losing his job to Aaron Hill. Rotoworld.com

  • Addison Russell blasts first HR in Cubs' win
Addison Russell belted a solo home run in Friday's victory over the Brewers.

Advice: Russell struck out in his other two plate appearances, but his drive over the left-center field wall in the third inning represented the only scoring of the game. The young infielder is hitting just .194/.219/.387 in the early going and batting in the No. 9 spot is unappealing for fantasy owners, but the upside obviously remains. Rotoworld.com

  • Orlando Calixte recalled from Triple-A
Royals recalled INF Orlando Calixte from Triple-A Omaha.

  • Escobar placed on 7-day concussion DL
Royals placed SS Alcides Escobar, retroactive to April 29, on the 7-day concussion disabled list.

Advice: Escobar was injured on Wednesday when he was hit in the cheek with a Danny Salazar fastball. Royals manager Ned Yost said the results of the shortstop's concussions tests aren't back yet, but the skipper revealed that Escobar isn't 100 percent yet and the club doesn't want to take any chances. • Robertson hits three doubles
Rays prospect SS Daniel Robertson went 4-for-5 with three doubles on Thursday for Double-A Montgomery.

Advice: He also drew a walk and drove in a run in what was his third multi-hit performance in the last five games. The 21-year-old shortstop is batting .273/.367/.403 with eight extra-base hits through 19 games in his first taste of the Double-A level. Acquired from the A’s during the offseason, Robertson enjoyed a breakout 2014 season in the High-A California League, slashing .310/.402/.471 with 15 homers and 60 RBI. He also walked 72 times against 94 strikeouts and posted an 83% contact rate. The Rays have a crop of impressive shortstop prospects in their farm system, but Robertson is the best of the bunch. That said, he's unlikely to reach the major leagues before 2016. Rotoworld.com

  • Sano hits home run No. 4
Twins prospect 3B Miguel Sano went 1-for-3 with a solo home run on Thursday for Double-A Chattanooga.

Advice: The dinger was Sano’s fourth with Chattanooga, but he’s batting just .159/.303/.381 through 18 games. The 21-year-old slugger missed the entire 2014 season due to Tommy John surgery and then logged just seven at-bats during spring training, so it’s not surprising that he’s off to a slow start in the Southern League. Sano should eventually settle in after the long layoff, and the Twins have every reason to make sure he gets back on track in the high minors. It’s still a possibility Sano will reach the major leagues this season, although a debut sometime in 2016 probably is more realistic. Rotoworld.com

  • Seager promoted to Triple-A
Dodgers prospect SS Corey Seager has been promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Seager made the most of his final game with Double-A Tulsa on Thursday, as he launched his fifth home run of the season before getting pulled in the bottom of the fourth inning. Through 19 games in the Texas League, the 21-year-old was batting .375/.407/.675 with five home runs, seven doubles and 15 RBI. Seager will now head to Triple-A Oklahoma City where he’ll likely see time at both shortstop and third base, with the latter position representing his clearest route to the major leagues. Before the promotion, Seager appeared in 15 games at shortstop and four at third base. The Dodgers’ top prospect appears to be on the fast track to the major leagues and could arrive sooner than expected. Rotoworld.com

  • Alexei Ramirez doubles twice against Twins
Inserted into the two hole, Alexei Ramirez doubled twice in five at-bats Thursday against the Twins.

Advice: Manager Robin Ventura didn't move Ramirez up because he deserved it, but to try to get him going; he entered the night with a .194/.235/.274 line in 62 at-bats. Ramirez ended up having a good game, but the rest of the team didn't. Sixth is where Ramirez belongs in the lineup -- even during his fine 2014, he had just a .305 OBP -- but he gets a value boost for however long he hits second. Rotoworld.com

  • Corey Seager playing some 3B at Double-A
Dodgers infield prospect Corey Seager has been playing some third base at Double-A Tulsa.

Advice: He's played there twice so far this season and president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman expects to see Seager at the hot corner "roughly once a week." Although the consensus among scouts is that the 6-foot-4, 215-pounder will eventually move to third base, the Dodgers aren't ready to push Seager off shortstop yet. "The idea is at some point, whether it’s this year or next year, to the extent that we have an injury and he’s our best option if he’s only played shortstop, that obviously limits him to an injury happening at that one position," Friedman said. "Giving him reps at another position only helps him and helps us." Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 5 prospect in the game, Seager is hitting .423/.436/.654 with two homers in his first 13 games for Tulsa and should be promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City before long. • Owings homers and triples in victory over TEX
Chris Owings hit a solo home run and an RBI triple in Wednesday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: Both the home run and triple were his first of the season. He hit the solo dinger off of Rangers starter Yovani Gallardo in the fourth inning and followed it up with an eighth inning three-bagger to deep center off Logan Verrett. Owings finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. The 23-year-old needed a game like Wednesday's, as he had just nine hits in 46 at-bats coming into the contest.
