    • Tanner Scott earns save against Brewers
Tanner Scott worked a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Brewers. He allowed one hit and struck out one.

Advice: It’s comforting to see Scott get through an inning without walking a batter and this marked three out of four appearances where he hasn’t walked any. He’s thrown at least 55% fastballs in each of those four outings and that might be his adjustment to push that walk rate down. The Marlins don’t win many games, but Scott once again looks to firmly be their closer. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:52 pm

    • Clase notches league-leading 15th save
Emmanuel Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in the Guardians’ 7-6 win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Clase allowed one hit and didn’t register a strikeout, but he got the job done for his league-leading 15th save. With a 0.36 ERA to go along with it, anybody who used an early-round draft pick on Clase is feeling pretty good about that decision right now. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:44 pm
    • Up to 15 saves
Clase earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets, working around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Clase's now pitched three consecutive days while locking down saves in back-to-back outings. He'd allow a one-out single to Francisco Lindor on Tuesday before inducing a game-ending double play off the bat of Pete Alonso. Clase lowered his ERA to a pristine 0.36 with a 0.59 WHIP and 24:2 K:BB across 25.1 innings, and he's now converted a league-leading 15 saves in 18 opportunities. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:08 pm
    • Cruises to 14th save
Clase earned a save against the Mets on Monday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Advice: Clase inherited a two-run lead when he entered in the ninth frame and made quick work of New York, needing just 12 pitches to set down the side in order. The right-hander has yielded just one earned run all season, giving him a sparkling 0.37 ERA through 24.1 frames. Clase has posted an outstanding 24:2 K:BB and is tied for first in the majors with 14 saves. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:57 pm
    • Collects win in extras
Scott (4-4) earned the win Monday against the Brewers, allowing no hits and one walk in one shutout inning. He struck out one.

Advice: Scott gathered his fourth win by shutting down Milwaukee in the top of the tenth and benefitting from a walk-off Josh Bell single in the bottom of the inning. The Marlins lefty has tossed seven consecutive scoreless outings, notching three wins, one save and one hold with a 9:5 K:BB over 7.1 innings. Despite owning an 8.1 BB/9, Scott sports a 1.80 ERA in 20 innings overall. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:17 pm

    • Emmanuel Clase lowers ERA to 0.37 on Monday
Emmanuel Clase tossed a perfect ninth inning on Monday against the Mets to record his league-leading 14th save of the season.

Advice: Clase was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the final frame and needed just 12 pitches (seven strikes) to end the contest. The 26-year-old elite stopper has converted a major league-leading 14 of 17 save opportunities to go along with a microscopic 0.37 ERA, 0.58 WHIP and 24/2 K/BB ratio across 24 1/3 innings (25 appearances). He hasn’t allowed an earned run since April 14. Rotoworld Monday, 6:03 pm
    • Wins after blown save
Clase (3-1) allowed an unearned run and struck out one batter in one inning of work Sunday against the Twins. He was charged with a blown save but earned the win.

Advice: Clase gave up the game-tying run on an error in the ninth inning, but Cleveland walked it off in the bottom half of the frame. It was his first blown save since April 16, and he's now 13 for 16 in save chances this season. He's fired 16.1 straight innings without allowing an earned run, dropping his season ERA to 0.39 with a 24:2 K:BB. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:03 am
    • Locks down save No. 3
Sewald secured the save Sunday against the Tigers by working a perfect ninth inning. He struck out one.

Advice: Sewald needed just 10 pitches to get the job done and picked up a strikeout against Spencer Torkelson in the process. He's now converted all three of his save chances on the year and has tossed four straight scoreless innings while giving up just one hit since yielding a run in his season debut May 7. • Paul Sewald closes out Tigers on Sunday afternoon
Paul Sewald slammed the door on the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, working a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a two-run advantage.

Advice: The 33-year-old hurler picked up his third save of the season for his efforts. He made it look awfully easy in this one, needing just 10 pitches (nine strikes) to get Wenceel Perez on a fly ball, Spencer Torkelson on strikes and Javier Baez on a pop out to second base to end it. On the season, Sewald now holds a 1.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP and a 5/1 K/BB ratio across his first five innings of work. Rotoworld May 19, 4:18 pm
