      Advice: Abreu stole a base in three straight games between April 15 and April 18, but he hadn't notched any thefts over his subsequent 10 contests coming into Wednesday. The 24-year-old outfielder continues to cement his place in the starting lineup, as he's slashing .316/.395/.519 with two homers, 12 RBI, 14 runs and five thefts on the campaign.       Advice: All the damage against Burnes came in the fifth inning when Oswaldo Cabrera launched a two-run home run. Despite allowing three or fewer runs for a seventh straight start, Burnes was stuck with the loss Wednesday as the Orioles offense could only manage three total hits and didn't score. While Burnes has allowed a home run in six of his seven starts this season, he owns a 2.61 ERA over 41.1 innings with 41 strikeouts -- the sixth most in the American League.       Emmanuel Clase struck out one batter in a scoreless tenth inning to earn the save against the Astros.

      Advice: After the Guardians took a one-run lead in the top of the tenth inning, Clase was called on to close it out in the bottom of the frame. He struck out the first batter, then got Mauricio Dubón to line into a double play with the help of an outstanding diving catch by Steven Kwan. He then plated a run of his own with a two-out RBI triple that chased Jefferies in the fourth inning.       Ryan O’Hearn went 1-for-3 with a single and a walk as the Orioles were shut out at home by the Yankees on Wednesday evening.

      Advice: As a team, the Orioles were only able to muster three singles and a pair of walks against Luis Gil and a host of Yankees’ relievers. O’Hearn was the only member of his squad to reach base twice.       Corbin Burnes logged a quality start in Wednesday’s loss to the Yankees, giving up just two runs on four hits over six strong innings of work.

      Advice: The Orioles’ ace struck out six batters on the night while issuing only one base on balls. All of the damage done against him — and in the game — came on a two-out, two-run homer off the bat of Oswaldo Cabrera in the fifth inning that just barely stayed fair and creeped over the wall in right field. Burnes got 14 swings and misses on 95 pitches in the contest — seven of those on his slider — while registering an elite CSW of 34 percent.
