    • Royce Lewis (quad) to be re-evaluated this week
Twins general manager Derek Faley told reporters Royce Lewis (quad) will be re-evaluated later this week.

Advice: Lewis resumed baseball activities last week as he continues his recovery from a severe right quad strain that he suffered back on Opening Day. There should be a clearer timetable for his return following his latest evaluation. Rotoworld Today, 4:12 pm

    • Mike Trout leading off Tuesday night vs. O’s
Mike Trout is leading off on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Advice: It’s the first time Trout has led off for Los Angeles since the second game of a late-August doubleheader against the Astros during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. His previous appearance before that was back in early 2018. The 32-year-old generational talent is in the midst of a renaissance campaign with an .889 OPS with eight homers and five steals through 23 contests. Rotoworld Today, 2:56 pm

    • Batting leadoff
Trout is the leadoff hitter Tuesday versus the Orioles.

Advice: Trout is at the top of the lineup for the first time since Aug. 25, 2020. He has been struggling over the last seven games, slashing just .111/.250/.222. Prior to the slump, the 32-year-old had a solid batting average at .290. In Monday night's loss to Baltimore, Trout struck out looking for the final out with the bases loaded in a two run game. Placing the center fielder at the top of the lineup may be a way to regain a spark. Rotowire.com Today, 2:40 pm

    • Returns from bereavement
The Rangers activated Heim from the bereavement list Tuesday.

Advice: Heim was away from the club for two games while tending to more urgent personal matters. Sam Huff had been up briefly to back up Andrew Knizner, but he's now returned to Triple-A Round Rock with Heim set to resume his role as the Rangers' everyday catcher. Rangers activated C Jonah Heim the from bereavement list.

Advice: Heim returns to the Rangers’ active roster after he was away from the team over the weekend. The 28-year-old backstop has slashed .264/.284/.431 with 15 RBI and three home runs in his 18 games played this season. Rotoworld Today, 10:09 am

    • Continues early-season success
Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Angels in a 4-2 win Monday.

Advice: Cowser accounted for Baltimore's final run with a seventh-inning solo shot off Reid Detmers. It was the young slugger's sixth long ball of the campaign and his second in as many games. Cowser looked lost facing major-league batting for the first time last season, posting a .115/.286/.148 slash line with a 28.6 percent strikeout rate over 77 plate appearances. He's turned things around dramatically to start this season, however, recording a .364/.400/.800 slash line along with 12 extra-base hits, 10 runs, 17 RBI and three thefts through 60 plate appearances. • Secures sixth save
Kimbrel earned a save against the Angels on Monday, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out two batters over one scoreless inning.

Advice: Kimbrel ran into some trouble in attempting to protect Baltimore's two-run ninth inning lead when he allowed the first two batters he faced to reach base. A one-out walk -- Kimbrel's first free pass of the campaign -- loaded the bases for Los Angeles, but the veteran closer got Nolan Schanuel to pop out before striking out Mike Trout looking to slam the door closed in dramatic fashion. Kimbrel is now 6-for-7 in save opportunities this season, and he's allowed just one earned run over 10 frames while racking up an impressive 16:1 K:BB. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
    • Kimbrel overtakes Billy Wagner with 423rd save
Craig Kimbrel moved past Billy Wagner on the all-time saves list with a scoreless ninth Monday against the Angels.

Advice: This was a classic post-peak Kimbrel outing; he hit Jo Adell with an 0-2 pitch, gave up a soft single and then walked a batter for the first time this year to load the bases with one out. At that point, he got Nolan Schanuel to pop out and struck out Mike Trout on four fastballs. His 423rd save leaves him alone in seventh place on the all-time list. His next will tie John Franco for sixth, and after that, he’ll keep battling it out with Kenley Jansen, who is two saves ahead of him at 425. Both should also pass Francisco Rodríguez at 437 this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:44 pm
    • Colton Cowser gets start versus lefty, homers
Colton Cowser homered in a second straight game Monday against the Angels.

Advice: Since the Orioles were facing a lefty, Cowser might have been on the bench for this one had Austin Hays been healthy. As is, he made his second start versus a southpaw and hit his second homer off one when he took Reid Detmers deep in the seventh. He’s at .364/.400/.800 for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:44 pm
