    • Falls just short of five frames
Wilson allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against Houston on Saturday.

Advice: Wilson was given a 4-1 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but he was pulled after giving up a one-out solo homer to Jake Meyers and a two-out single to Jose Altuve. The hook eliminated the right-hander's chance to qualify for the win, and it marked the second straight outing in which he's failed to go five frames. Still, Wilson has given up a tolerable four runs across 8.2 innings during those two contests, and he's recorded a 2.79 ERA across 38.2 innings on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm

    • Perfect at plate Saturday
Freeman went 4-for-4 with a walk, a double, three runs, three RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 11-4 victory versus Minnesota.

Advice: Freeman batted out of the leadoff spot for the sixth straight contest and broke out with the first four-hit game of his career. Among those knocks was a run-scoring double and a two-run single. Freeman is still batting just .221 on the season, but he may be rounding into form, as he's gone 8-for-17 with a 4:1 BB:K during his current five-game hitting streak. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:12 pm

    • Goes deep again Saturday
Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double and three total RBI in Saturday's 11-4 win over the Twins.

Advice: Ramirez set the tone early with a two-run first inning homer. He added a run-scoring double in the third and finished with his second three-hit effort over his past five contests. Ramirez has gone deep in back-to-back games and has six homers and 16 RBI while batting .340 over his past 13 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:05 pm

    • Strikes out 10 in win
Lugo (7-1) earned the win Saturday over the Athletics, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out 10 over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Lugo was able to limit the damage to a two-run home run by Seth Brown in the second inning. This was Lugo's second straight start with double-digit strikeouts, though he came up one out short of a fifth straight quality start. The right-hander is now at a 1.79 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 58:13 K:BB through 65.1 innings over 10 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road against the Rays. • Blows save, takes loss Saturday
Finnegan (1-3) took the loss and blew a save against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk over 1.2 innings.

Advice: Finnegan was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning and got two outs before serving up a game-tying solo homer to Kody Clemens. The contest went into an extra frame, and after Washington failed to score in the top of the 10th, Finnegan was tagged with the loss when Bryce Harper plated the automatic runner on a sacrifice fly. The blown save was just the second for Finnegan this year, with the other coming all the way back on March 31. The right-hander has been one of the best closers in the league this season with 13 saves along with a 1.89 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB over 19 frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:55 pm
    • Bryse Wilson pulled in fifth against Astros
Bryse Wilson allowed two runs while throwing 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Neither Wilson nor Justin Verlander were able to go five innings in this one; a little more surprising for Verlander than Wilson, but both failed to qualify for a chance at a win. Wilson just hasn’t been able to get deep into games, but his 2.79 ERA has shown that he has been effective in his limited innings. The 26-year-old faces Boston on Friday. • Lugo strikes out 10, picks up seventh win Saturday
Seth Lugo allowed two earned runs and struck out 10 in 5 2/3 innings and picked up the win in the Royals’ 5-3 victory over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: The win was Lugo’s seventh of the season and his ERA is 1.79. His 58 strikeouts are in the top 15 for qualified starters. The Royals can’t ask for more than what they’re getting from him right now and the same goes for fantasy managers. The 34-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Rays on the road next weekend.

    • Finnegan blows save against the Phillies
Kyle Finnegan blew his second save of the season against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Finnegan had two outs in the bottom of the ninth when he allowed a game-tying solo home run to Kody Clemens. Finnegan took the loss as he allowed another run on a game-winning sacrifice fly by Bryce Harper in the 10th inning. He entered play Saturday leading the league with 13 saves, but he was probably due to give up some runs as his ERA is 1.89 but his xFIP is significantly higher at 3.72.

    • San Diego-Atlanta game postponed
Darvish and the Padres will not play Saturday after their game in Atlanta was postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday. Darvish will be pushed back a day to start Sunday, which would also mean delaying Joe Musgrove's (elbow) return from the injured list to Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:03 pm
