Advice: Lewis was sitting around 85-86 mph in his rehab start Monday at Double-A Frisco and wants to be closer to 89-91 mph by the time he returns to the major leagues. The hope had been that he would be ready to rock during the first week of June, but a more realistic timetable calls for him to be activated near the middle of the month. Lewis is on his way back from major right elbow surgery.

Advice: After dealing with a minor bout of triceps tendinitis, Lewis will resume his rehab assignment at Double-A Frisco on Monday. He'll need two additional outings after that before being activated. The right-hander is a nice roster stash in fantasy leagues if you have room.

After settling for two straight no-decisions, Holland will look to get back in the win column in his next start Saturday vs. the Mariners.

Advice: If everything checks out with the left-hander early this week, he should be cleared to join the White Sox starting rotation on Friday night against the Marlins. Danks has been on the shelf all year and makes for a decent waiver stash right now in AL-only fantasy leagues. Since he's coming off shoulder surgery and still rebuilding his arm strength, it might not be wise to trust him right out of the gate in standard mixed formats. Even against Miami.

Advice: Danks will make what could be his final rehab start with Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday. The left-hander holds a 3.00 ERA over three rehab outings, but he has a 10/9 K/BB ratio over 18 innings and his velocity remains down. Fantasy owners should take a wait-and-see approach, though he would get a nice first matchup against the Marlins if he returns next weekend.

Advice: Mendoza earned his first win earlier this week, and has put together three straight quality starts. He would have been in line for his second win, but the Royals' bullpen allowed a home run to Yoenis Cespedes in the eighth inning that cost him the game. Mendoza has a 5.50 ERA in seven appearances (six starts) this season and will continue to serve as Kansas City's No. 5 starter.

Advice: Hunter finished with a 5.45 ERA in 2012 and a 4.68 ERA in 2011, mostly as a starter. He's a better bullpen fit, where he's posted a 1.54 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 18/4 K/BB rate to go with a 3-1 record and a save over 23 1/3 innings. If Hunter keeps it up, Baltimore is likely to increase his usage to higher-leverage situations.

Advice: That's assuming he gets through bullpen sessions on Tuesday and Friday with no issues. McDonald is slated to go four innings and/or throw 65 pitches for Altoona, so he'll need at least one additional rehab start before being activated. He's not a given to rejoin the rotation once healthy.

Advice: Zimmermann was as good as anticipated in PETCO, striking out six, walking none and scattering seven hits. One of the most underrated pitchers in the majors, Zimmermann is 7-2 with a 1.62 ERA and 45/9 K/BB rate in nine starts over 66 2/3 innings.

Advice: Lincecum struck out four, walked two and surrendered a two-run homer to Wilin Rosario. The veteran has been all over the place this season, making him impossible to trust in fantasy. He's allowed no runs in three of his nine starts, but four or more in five of them. The inconsistency bears out in his numbers: Lincecum is 3-3 with a 4.70 ERA and 1.42 WHIP.

Advice: Aroldis Chapman blew the Reds' one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth. Bailey did his part, yielding only five hits and a walk while fanning three batters. He now has a stellar 3.09 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 55/15 K/BB ratio in 58 1/3 innings this season and should keep cruising next time out against the light-hitting Cubs.

Advice: After a rough outing against the Astros, Vargas has gone at least seven innings in his last two games and has back-to-back quality starts. He gave up just four hits with three walks and had six strikeouts. Vargas now has a 3.55 ERA through his first nine starts this season.

Advice: Vargas matched his season high with seven strikeouts and improved to 2-3 with a 4.03 ERA. Next up for him is a rematch with his old team, the Mariners. He took a tough loss to them on April 28, getting outdueled by Hisashi Iwakuma in a 2-1 game.

Advice: Santana spun seven innings of two-run ball, striking out five and allowing four hits and three walks. He didn't surrender a home run, which has been perhaps the biggest reason he's turned around his career in Kansas City. After leading the league in long-balls allowed in 2012 with 39, Santana has given up just six thus far; and three of those were in his season debut. The resurgent right-hander is 3-2 with a 2.77 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over eight starts.

Advice: De Vries is over his forearm ailment, but the Twins aren't ready to add him to the rotation yet. However, with much of their starting five struggling, it might only be a matter of time before he gets a shot.

Advice: Nolasco came out for the ninth trying to finish off a shutout but was pulled after giving up a leadoff double to Didi Gregorius. The bullpen let the inherited runner score but eventually closed it out in nail-biting fashion. Nolasco has gone through his typical ups and downs but ultimately has pitched pretty well for the Fish, posting a 3.96 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. He'll face the White Sox next weekend.
