  • Goes yard at Wrigley Field
Profar went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Profar was the only source of offense for the Padres, providing a two-run homer in the top of the eighth to put San Diego ahead 2-1. However, the Cubs scored a run in the eighth and ninth to erase Profar's long ball and steal the win. At the age of 31, Profar has enjoyed a breakout season, boasting a .958 OPS and a 179 WRC+ through 150 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago
  • Lasts seven innings in no-decision
Imanaga didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against San Diego, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk across seven innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Imanaga allowed more than five hits for the first time this season and tied his season worst earned run total but it was hardly a disappointing start for the first-year MLB'er, who's arguably been the best starter in baseball. He blanked the Padres through seven innings but allowed an infield single to Luis Arraez then a homer to Jurickson Profar in the eighth before being pulled. Imanaga has fanned seven or more batters in three straight starts and the Cubs are 7-0 when he's on the bump. The lefty is tentatively scheduled to make his next start Tuesday in Atlanta. • Stuck with loss in return
Montas (2-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Montas wound up spending the minimum 15 days on the IL after he was struck by a line drive in his last start, resulting in a bruised forearm. The 31-year-old right-hander was sharp in his return, though he'd ultimately wind up with the loss as the Reds' offense couldn't break through against Zac Gallen. Montas now sports a 3.55 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP and 21:11 K:BB across his first six starts (25.1 innings) with Cincinnati. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Giants on Sunday in his next outing. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago
  • Homer, five RBI in victory
Carroll went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and five total RBI in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Reds.

Advice: Carroll looked back at home in the leadoff spot Tuesday -- after driving in two runs earlier in the game, the 23-year-old outfielder broke the game open with a three-run homer off the left-handed Justin Wilson in the seventh, his second long ball of the year and first since April 9, extending Arizona's lead to 5-0. After a brutal start to the season, it looks like Carroll may be starting to turn things around at the plate -- he now has at least one hit in six of his last seven contests, going 8-for-27 in that span. He's still slashing an uninspiring .211/.300/.278 through 34 games with 15 runs scored, 12 RBI and eight stolen bases. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago
  • Returning to majors
Pages will be recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: With Willson Contreras (forearm) set to miss the next couple of months, Pages will come up from the minors to serve as the backup catcher to Ivan Herrera. Pages has played in just six games at Triple-A this season, going 4-for-18 with a homer and two RBI, and he'll likely only draw an occasional start while with the Cardinals. • Excellent against Cincinnati
Gallen (4-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Reds, allowing one hit and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Gallen had gone 11 days between starts after suffering a hamstring injury on April 26 against Seattle. He certainly looked healthy Tuesday, holding Cincinnati to one hit en route to his third scoreless outing this season. It's an encouraging effort from Gallen, who'd dropped his previous two starts, allowing eight runs over 10 innings in that span. He lowered his ERA to 2.84 with a 1.13 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB across seven starts (38 innings) this year. Gallen's currently in line for a road start Sunday against the Orioles in his next outing. • Kyle Harrison combines on shutout of Rockies
Kyle Harrison pitched four-hit ball for seven innings and combined with two relievers on a 5-0 shutout of the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Ryan Walker and Camilo Doval, who hadn’t pitched in five days, finished up the Giants’ shutout. Harrison struck out just two tonight and gave up a pair of 390-foot flies to Ezequiel Tovar and Jordan Beck, but he was never stressed. The win moves him to 3-1 with a 3.20 ERA. He’ll work at home against the Reds on Sunday. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago
  • Dakota Hudson gives up four runs in loss to Giants
Dakota Hudson surrendered four runs in 3 2/3 innings Tuesday in a loss to the Giants.

Advice: Hudson is going to have to be a little better than this in order to get a chance to make a run at 20 losses this year. He’s currently 0-6 with a 6.35 ERA and an ugly 20/22 K/BB ratio in 34 innings. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • LaMonte Wade Jr. gets on base four times in win
LaMonte Wade Jr. reached base four times Tuesday, finishing 1-for-2 with two RBI and three walks versus the Rockies.

Advice: The underrated Wade is batting .351 with a ridiculous .485 OBP, yet as a platoon player with one homer, 10 RBI, 12 runs scored and one steal, he still hasn’t been all that valuable for fantasy purposes, and it’s not like he’ll keep hitting .351 forever. At least he should remain plenty useful to the Giants all year. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago
