      Advice: Westburg was thrown out at third trying to stretch a double into a triple, but still drove in two runs to give the Orioles a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The 25-year-old infielder is hitting .286 with an .854 OPS and 48 RBI on the season.

      Correa (wrist) anticipates that he will be in the lineup Friday against the Mariners, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

      Advice: Correa was hit in the wrist by a pitch Thursday in the seventh inning and immediately left the game. X-rays came back clean, and he told reporters after the game that he's confident he'll be in the lineup to start the Twins' series against Seattle on Friday.       Advice: Correa immediately made his way into the Twins' clubhouse after getting hit in the arm by a pitch during the seventh inning, but it appears he managed to escape the incident with minimal damage. The team has officially labeled his injury a right wrist contusion, and he is viewed as day-to-day.       Carlos Correa left Thursday’s game against the Diamondbacks after being hit by a pitch on the right forearm.

      Advice: This one didn’t look good at all. Correa took a 94-mph fastball off his right forearm during the seventh inning of Thursday’s blowout in Arizona. He immediately left the contest shaking his head and holding that arm in a great deal of pain. The 29-year-old shortstop will head for additional evaluation and X-rays to determine the extent of the damage.     • Manny Machado has two hits in victory over Nats
      Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a run scored as the Padres bested the Nationals on Wednesday afternoon in San Diego.

      Advice: Machado led off the eighth inning with a single off of Tanner Rainey, then rode home on Kyle Higashioka’s grand slam. With his two-hit attack on Wednesday, the 31-year-old superstar third baseman is now hitting .264/.316/.390 on the season to go along with eight homers, 40 RBI and five stolen bases.
