    Even though the Mets had a six-run lead, a frustrated Sean Manaea was lifted after 4 2/3 scoreless innings Wednesday against the Giants.

    Advice: Manaea was inefficient in walking four and throwing 101 pitches today, but considering that he struck out the final man he faced, it seemed like he ought to have been given a chance to go for the win. And if managers simply don’t care about that kind of thing any longer, then why should any of us? Manaea has a 3.33 ERA in his five starts this season. Prior to getting a call-up from Triple-A Albuquerque last weekend, Blach had made four starts for the Rockies' top affiliate, logging a 3.45 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB in 15.2 innings.
