Josh Hamilton has his worst game yet for the Angels on Tuesday, grounding into three double plays and striking out twice.
Advice: Hamilton had at least one runner on every time up tonight, and he snuffed rallies at every single opportunity in the 3-2 loss. Manager Mike Scioscia may want to move him out of the two hole after this one. He may actually want to bat him ninth after this one.

Brian Roberts (knee, hamstring) began doing sprints Tuesday.
Advice: Roberts has been hitting for a little while now, but he'll need to run without restrictions before being cleared to return to game action. As of now, he's hoping to begin a rehab assignment after the Orioles' roadtrip ends on Sunday.

Randall Delgado yielded two runs in seven innings and struck out six Tuesday in a no-decision against the Marlins.
Advice: Delgado, who lost out on a rotation spot to Patrick Corbin this spring, was making his first start as a member of the Diamondbacks. He figures to get at least one more next week before a decision is made on his status. Since he won't be facing the Marlins again then (he could get the Reds on Sunday or the Nationals in the middle of the week), he won't be as good of a play in NL-only leagues.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Wednesday that Jake Arrieta will join the starting rotation with Triple-A Norfolk.
Advice: Arrieta was optioned to the minors after he gave up five runs on 10 hits and a walk over 4 2/3 innings Monday in a spot-start against the Tigers. The 27-year-old right-hander has a 7.23 ERA in five starts in the majors this season and a 5.50 ERA in six starts and one relief appearance in Triple-A, but the Orioles aren't considering changing his role yet.

Nathan Eovaldi pitched six innings of two-run ball Tuesday against the Diamondbacks in his season debut.
Advice: Back from a shoulder injury, Eovaldi allowed just three hits tonight and he made it through six innings in a modest 84 pitches. That he's a Marlin really cuts into his fantasy upside -- wins will be very difficult to come by -- but he should have a little value in NL-only leagues anyway.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that people who have spoken with MLB investigators feel it's likely that "at least some" suspensions will be issued in the Biogenesis case.
Advice: MLB has begun interviewing players associated with the case, though they have yet to talk to Ryan Braun or Alex Rodriguez, seemingly because they want to gather enough evidence before confronting them. Interestingly, Heyman notes that MLB officials believe the league's Joint Drug Agreement may allow it to announce suspensions before any appeal process because the names involved have already been leaked. The MLBPA obviously wouldn't be happy with that. While Braun and Rodriguez have garnered most of the attention in the case, Melky Cabrera, Bartolo Colon, Yasmani Grandal, Nelson Cruz, Jhonny Peralta, Everth Cabrera, Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero are among the other players who have been connected to the now-shuttered clinic.

Everth Cabrera (hamstring) is expected to be placed on the disabled list Wednesday.
Advice: Cabrera injured his left hamstring during Sunday's game and will now receive some extended rest. It's too bad, as the 26-year-old is in the midst of a breakout season. Alexi Amarista and Pedro Ciriaco figure to split playing time at shortstop during his absence.

Ryan Vogelsong had all five pins removed from his surgically-repaired right hand on Tuesday.
Advice: That's good news for Vogelsong, who originally expected to only have two or three pins removed. He'll now have the ability to perform more mobility and flexibility exercises, some of them earlier than expected. As of now, the Giants are hoping to get Vogelsong back near the end of July.

Brandon Belt went 3-for-4 with an RBI double in the Giants' 5-4 win over the Padres on Tuesday.
Advice: The Giants snapped San Diego's seven-game winning streak. Belt's double off Dale Thayer tied the game in the bottom of the eighth, and Juan Perez singled him home for the go-ahead run. Belt has collected seven hits in his last three games, raising his average from .246 to .264.

Tom Wilhelmsen gave up a game-tying homer to the first batter he faced after being brought into a one-run game in the eighth Tuesday against the Angels.
Advice: So, Wilhelmsen can't close at the moment, but he can be brought in to face Albert Pujols with the game on the line? Pujols took him deep on just his second pitch of the night. It was actually the first homer allowed by Wilhelmsen this season. After that, he came back and got five outs, though he did need Charlie Furbush to bail him out of a jam in a tie game in the ninth. Overall, it probably wasn't a showing that's going to help his chances of returning to the closer's role.

Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said on 106.7 The Fan on Wednesday that Bryce Harper (knee) will resume baseball activities in "the next day or two."
Advice: Harper continues to make progress, as he was cleared to progress toward running following a visit to the team doctor earlier this week. While he could begin baseball activities within the next couple of days, there's no timetable for him to return to game action. The 20-year-old outfielder has been sidelined since May 26 with left knee bursitis.

Nationals activated 2B Danny Espinosa from the 15-day disabled list; optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse.
Advice: An expected move, as Espinosa batted just .118 (2-for-17) with 10 strikeouts over six rehab games in Triple-A. His wrist is apparently feeling better, but he'll need to have better results before returning to the majors. Anthony Rendon will continue to handle second base duties for the Nats for now.

After having his last start skipped, Joe Blanton allowed two runs in 6 2/3 innings and struck out 11 against the Mariners on Tuesday.
Advice: That's a nice Quality Start for Blanton, but he still gave up two more homers (Raul Ibanez and Justin Smoak went back-to-back in the second inning), bringing his season total to 15 surrendered in 83 1/3 innings. He has pitched effectively in four of his last five outings, but an easier schedule has had a lot to do with that.

Hanley Ramirez will serve as the designated hitter in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
Advice: This will give Ramirez's hamstring a bit of a rest. Nick Punto will make the start at shortstop.

Brandon Crawford (fingers) is expected to miss Wednesday's game.
Advice: Crawford sprained the index and middle fingers on his right hand during Tuesday's win over the Padres. His fingers were swollen and he couldn't grip a ball, but it sounds like there's a chance he could return Thursday. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.
