• Two more steals in win
Garcia went 2-for-5 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Garcia was briefly bumped down the order last weekend, but he hasn't really rebounded since returning to the leadoff spot for the last five games. His multi-hit effort Friday was his first since June 14 and just his third such game in June, a month in which he's batting .153 (15-for-98). The infielder is now at a .234/.288/.347 slash line with five home runs, 40 RBI, 51 runs scored and 21 steals over 82 contests, with his speed being the biggest upside in his game this year. • Fans seven in Friday's loss
Kikuchi (4-8) took the loss Friday as the Blue Jays were routed 16-5 by the Yankees, giving up four runs on four hits and a walk over five-plus innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: The southpaw was sharp to begin the game and actually took a 3-1 lead into the top of the sixth inning, but after allowing two straight singles to open the frame, Juan Soto flipped the script with a three-run blast that chased Kikuchi from the game. Kikuchi has been tagged for 13 runs in only 11 innings over his last three starts, inflating his ERA to 4.18 with a 1.31 WHIP and 93:21 K:BB through 88.1 innings. He'll look to turn things around in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Astros. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:44 pm
  • Brenton Doyle collects seventh homer, 19th steal
Brenton Doyle went 2-for-4 with a homer and a steal versus the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Doyle came into the night batting .235/.258/.284 in June and was one more bad game away seeing his OPS drop below .700, so this helps a bunch. He still shouldn’t be batting at the top of the Rockies order right now, but for as long it continues, he’ll be worth playing in mixed leagues, especially when the Rockies are at home. • Cracks homer, swipes bag in loss
Doyle went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a steal in Friday's 5-3 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The 26-year-old gave Colorado a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning when a launched a 426-foot, two-run homer off Drew Thorpe. Doyle later bagged his team-leading 19th stolen base, marking his fifth straight success since last being caught June 5. The Rockies' leadoff hitter hopes this performance spurs a hot streak, as he entered hitting .235 (19-for-81) with just two extra-base hits -- one homer and one double -- across 22 games in June. • Yusei Kikuchi’s night ruined by Juan Soto
Yusei Kikuchi lasted five-plus innings on Friday against the Yankees. He allowed four earned runs, struck out seven, and walked one in a loss.

Advice: Kikuchi was cruising to the highest degree of the word through the first five innings. He had seven punch outs, faced two batters over the minimum, and the Yankees only run came from a run-down. Then, Juan Soto clobbered a three-run home run to spoil his great night. He had great command of his fastball and this start was an encouraging step back in the right direction for him despite the costly mistake to Soto. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:36 pm
  • Doubles twice, steals in win
Young went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run scored and a stolen base in a 3-1 loss to the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Young doubled in the third inning and again in the seventh. He then stole third and scored on an errant throw by Rays catcher Alex Jackson. Since June 21, the 24-year-old has four multi-hit efforts and nine runs scored in seven contests. On the season, he is hitting .272 with one home run, 18 RBI, 40 runs scored and 19 steals in 240 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:30 pm

  • Jacob Young has two hits, swipe in loss to Rays
Jacob Young went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and a stolen base as the Nationals fell to the Rays on Friday evening in Tampa Bay.

Advice: Young basically created a run with his legs in the seventh inning, smacking a two-out double, stealing third base and then trotting home as catcher overthrew the third baseman trying to cut him down. That would be the only run that the Nationals would muster in the ballgame. With his two-hit effort, Young is now hitting .272/.329/.341 with one homer, 18 RBI and 19 swipes on the season. • Officially placed on IL
The Giants placed Estrada on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left wrist sprain, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reported earlier Friday that Estrada has been playing through multiple injuries recently, and the Giants will now place the 28-year-old infielder on the IL so that he can recover properly. Tyler Fitzgerald will come up from Triple-A Sacramento to help replenish the Giants' infield depth, though Nick Ahmed could see an increase in playing time while Estrada is sidelined. • Giants place Thairo Estrada on 10-day injured list
Giants placed INF Thairo Estrada on the 10-day injured list with left wrist tendinitis.

Advice: Giants’ manager Bob Melvin noted that Estrada has been playing through a lot recently, so this was a good opportunity to sit him down for a while and allow him to get right. Brett Wisely is starting in his place at second base on Friday night and could be in line for increased action while Estrada is sidelined. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:38 pm
