• Nimmo has three-hit game in win against Pirates
Brandon Nimmo went 3-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base against the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Nimmo’s stolen base was his eighth of the year. He was 0-for-10 with two walks in his last three games. Nimmo is hitting .249 with an .810 OPS and 52 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

  • Scott picks up 13th save, lowers ERA to 1.42
Tanner Scott threw a scoreless inning to get a save Saturday against the White Sox.

Advice: Scott had his good control Saturday — something that isn’t always there even with his gaudy numbers — and threw 10-of-14 pitches for strikes while picking up a punchout. It’s the 13th save of the season; a more impressive number when you consider Miami has won only 31 games. Scott is very likely going to be playing for a new team by the end of July. The question is whether it’ll be in a fantasy-relevant situation. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

  • Plays field in rehab game
Bogaerts (shoulder) went 0-for-3 while playing second base in a minor-league rehab game with Triple-A El Paso on Friday.

Advice: After playing as the designated hitter in his first rehab contest Thursday, Bogaerts transitioned to second base in his second game Friday. He's gone 1-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts over the pair of appearances. While there seems to be ample time for Bogaerts to ramp up and return to the Padres before the All-Star break, MLB.com reports that manager Mike Shildt wouldn't commit to that Friday, saying "I wouldn't rule it out, but I wouldn't say, 'Yes.'" • Franciso Alvarez out Saturday with elbow soreness
Francisco Alvarez is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Pirates due to left elbow soreness.

Advice: Alvarez took a 99-mph fastball from Pirates starter Paul Skenes off his left elbow during Friday’s showdown, so it makes sense that he’s going to get some extra time to rest and recover. It’ll be Luis Torrens handling the catching duties on Saturday afternoon in his place. The 22-year-old backstop is probably fine, but it’s something to keep an eye on over the rest of the weekend. • Absent from lineup Saturday
Alvarez (elbow) is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Alvarez went 1-for-3 in Friday's 14-2 loss to Pittsburgh, during which he was struck in the left elbow by a 99 mph fastball from Paul Skenes in the fourth inning, per Pat Ragazzo of SI.com. Luis Torrens will start behind home plate Saturday and bat sixth against Pirates southpaw Bailey Falter. Rotowire.com Today, 10:03 am

  • Ben Brown (neck) making gradual progress
Ben Brown (neck) is scheduled to play catch on Saturday.

Advice: Brown hit the injured list back in mid-June with a neck strain and has been slowly progressing towards a return to Chicago’s starting rotation. There isn’t a definitive timetable yet, but the fact that he’s been throwing for at least a week now without any setbacks is an encouraging sign. Rotoworld Today, 8:31 am

  • Slugs grand slam
Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Friday's 8-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Hoskins opened July in an 0-for-13 skid before the grand slam in his second at-bat Friday. The blast gave the Brewers a 5-2 lead, but they mustered just one hit after that. Hoskins is slashing .218/.311/.402 with 12 homers, 42 RBI, 27 runs scored and two stolen bases over 270 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:40 pm

  • Rhys Hoskins hits grand slam in loss to Dodgers
Rhys Hoskins connected on a grand slam, but the Brewers fell to the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Hoskins took Tyler Glasnow deep with the bases loaded in the fourth to give Milwaukee a 5-2 lead. It also gave Hoskins his 12th homer of the season and brought his RBI total to 57. The power numbers aren’t too shabby. The .218 average leaves an awful lot to be desired. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:45 pm

  • Notches steal in win
Moore went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Moore has gone just 2-for-14 with two walks over his last seven games. The versatile 31-year-old continues to offer speed when in the lineup for the Mariners -- he's 14-for-16 on stolen base attempts this season, including a perfect 6-for-6 since the start of June. Getting on base is another story, as he's hitting just .207 with a .315 on-base percentage, eight home runs, 26 RBI, 31 runs scored, 14 doubles and three triples across 72 contests.
