• Trevor Megill secures 15th save vs. Angels
Trevor Megill struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to record the save against the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: Megill was summoned with a two-run lead in the ninth to close it out against the Angels. He made quick work of Los Angeles, needing only seven pitches to put them away with one strikeout for his 15th save of the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:05 pm
  • Freddy Peralta blanks Angels over six in win
Freddy Peralta struck out eight batters over six shutout innings in a win over the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: Peralta bounced back after a six-run outing to make his best start of the season on Wednesday. He held the Angels scoreless over six innings, striking out eight batters on 18 whiffs. He scattered three hits and two walks, tossing 60-of-101 pitches for strikes. The 28-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 4.06 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a 106/29 K/BB ratio across 82 innings. • Allows five runs in return
Miller gave up five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller missed over two months with a shoulder injury, and making his return at Coors Field was always going to be a tough task. He left the game with a lead in the seventh inning, but the Dodgers couldn't stay ahead. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 6.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB over 18 innings through four starts this season. Miller continues to have plenty of upside as a young pitcher supported by a strong offense, but it may take him a few starts to get fully comfortable again in the majors. He's projected for a favorable road matchup versus the White Sox in his next outing. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:53 pm

  • Bobby Miller surrenders five runs in return
Bobby Miller allowed five runs with two strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Colorado isn’t exactly the best place to make a return off the injured list. He served up a three-run shot to Michael Toglia in the first inning. Miller then gave up one more run in the fourth before pitching into the seventh. He gave up a leadoff double and was replaced on the mound with one out. The inherited runner came in to score. The 25-year-old right-hander touched 99 mph on the fastball and sat at 97.5, a good sign going forward. He’ll take on the White Sox in Chicago next week. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:21 pm

  • Homers twice in win
Naylor went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's 8-0 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Naylor opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning. He then added a two-run home run in the fifth and a solo homer in the seventh. Naylor has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 10-for-26 with three homers and seven RBI. While Naylor's current .237 average is well below last year's .308 mark, he has a .272 expected batting average and is just one homer shy of tying his career high of 20 in 2022. • Josh Naylor smacks two home runs against Mariners
Josh Naylor went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI on Wednesday.

Advice: Naylor took over this game offensively with a run-scoring single in the first, thunderous home run to break it open in the fifth, and then a solo-shot in the seventh for good measure. He’d been batting under .200 since the start of May after a strong April and knowing how streaky of a hitter Naylor can be, this might be the start of his next hot streak. The Dodgers activated Miller (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Wednesday against the Rockies, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Timesreports.

  • Jorge Soler clubs grand slam in loss to Cubs
Jorge Soler walloped a grand slam on Wednesday in the Giants’ loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Soler pulled San Francisco within one run with an eighth-inning grand slam off Chicago reliever Tyson Miller. It was his ninth long ball of the season and second time he’s gone deep in his last four games. The 32-year-old slugger has always been a streaky power hitter and could be gearing up for an extended power surge over the next few weeks. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:36 pm

  • Dodgers activate Bobby Miller for Wednesday return
Dodgers activated RHP Bobby Miller from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: The 25-year-old hurler will make his triumphant return to the hill against the Rockies at Coors Field on Wednesday. He made four starts in the minor leagues while he was building back up, registering a 7.80 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and a 10/8 K/BB ratio over 15 frames. Given the venue, fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach before reinserting Miller back into lineups. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:11 pm
