• Struggles continue against Angels
Verlander did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 9-7 loss to the Angels, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out three over five innings.

Advice: Verlander had another pedestrian outing against one of the weaker lineups in baseball. The positives were that he didn't allow a home run or walk a batter, though he did give up seven hits for a second straight start and isn't missing many bats, evidenced by his 2.9 swinging strike percentage Sunday. Verlander has just seven strikeouts over his last 10 innings, and this is after coming off of back-to-back nine strikeout performances to end May. The 41-year-old will take a 3.95 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 51:17 K:BB (57 innings) into his next start against the Tigers over the weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:02 am
  • Likely to rejoin lineup Tuesday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora suggested Sunday that he expects Devers (knee) to be back in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener versus the Phillies, MLB.com reports. "He's OK," Cora said of Devers prior to Sunday's 6-4 extra-inning over the White Sox. "Hopefully one day [off], [then Monday's team off day] and be ready for Tuesday. If he feels like he's banged up, giving him a day will benefit him."

Advice: Devers was lifted in the eighth inning of Saturday's 6-1 loss to Chicago after Cora said that the the third baseman's left knee was bothering him when he was getting ready to swing in the batter's box. Though Devers likely could have played Sunday if necessary, the Red Sox might have chosen to err on the side of caution and hold him out of the lineup after he had previously dealt with a bone bruise in the same knee in April that cost him five starts. After getting Sunday and Monday off, Devers should be ready to go for the three-game series with the Phillies, but fantasy managers may still want to confirm that he's starting Tuesday before locking him into lineups. • Performance picking up in June
Arozarena went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Arozarena delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning and recorded his second multi-hit game in his last three starts. He's hit well across seven games in June, going 8-for-22 with an RBI and three runs scored. Arozarena still has a disappointing .614 OPS across 260 plate appearances, though he has still managed eight home runs and seven stolen bases across 63 games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:22 am
  • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. drives in two in win over Pads
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 2-for-5 with a double and a pair of RBI on Sunday as the Diamondbacks throttled the Padres in San Diego.

Advice: The 30-year-old outfielder smacked a two-run double off of Adam Mazur in the second inning and rode home on Jake McCarthy’s two-run blast. He also singled in the fourth inning and raced around to score on a two-out RBI single by Eugenio Suarez. With his two-hit attack, Gurriel is now hitting .247/.287/.405 with nine homers, 39 RBI and three swipes on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:21 pm
  • Justin Verlander struggles again in no-decision
Justin Verlander struggled again in a no-decision against the Angels on Sunday, giving up four runs on seven hits over his five frames.

Advice: The 41-year-old hurler struck out three batters on the afternoon and didn’t allow a base on balls. The Angels scratched out a pair of runs on sacrifice flies off the bat of Nolan Schanuel, added another as Mickey Moniak bunted into a fielder’s choice in the fourth inning and then Willie Calhoun smacked a run-scoring single in the fifth. Still, Verlander exited with his team leading 7-4 and in line for a victory — but the Astros’ bullpen couldn’t hang on for him. He got just three swings and misses on 101 pitches in the game, posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll try to bounce back as he carries a 3.95 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and a 51/17 K/BB ratio (57 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against Tarik Skubal and the Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:54 pm
  • Victorious once more
Rodriguez (7-2) picked up the win Sunday against Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk across 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Rodriguez retired the first 15 batters he faced Sunday but got into trouble during the sixth before exiting. After walking the leadoff batter in the sixth, Rodriguez generated a strikeout and a lineout but got the hook after allowing back-to-back singles. Still responsible for runners on first and third, Rodriguez was charged with a second earned run when Randy Arozarena hit an RBI single off Dillon Tate. Rodriguez has earned seven wins in 11 starts this season, owning a 3.21 ERA with a 10.1 K/9. He's on track to make his next start during a home series against the Phillies next weekend. • Arozarena has two hits, RBI in loss to BAL
Randy Arozarena went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to Baltimore on Sunday.

Advice: The two hits are nice, and Arozarena now has five hits in his last six games; however, the 29-year-old had three batted balls on the day and none of them were hit harder than 85 mph. On the positive side, Arozarena is now 8-for-22 in June and is pulling the ball and hitting it on the line more while striking out just 11 percent of the time. He seems to be trading some power for contact and considering he’s still on pace to steal 20 or more bases, raising his batting average and increasing his stolen base opportunities would be welcome, even if it does come at the expense of some power. • Grayson Rodriguez tires in 6th in win over Rays
Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs on two hits in 5 2/3 in a win over the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: Rodriguez struck out six and walked one on the day while posting a 33 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. It was a solid day overall for the 24-year-old who tired with two outs in the sixth inning. Rodriguez walked the first batter of the sixth before getting two quick outs. However, he would then allow two straight hits to score a run and had another run come in to score off a reliever. Rodriguez remains one of the most talented young pitchers in the game and will carry a 3.27 ERA into a tough matchup against the Phillies next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:38 pm
  • Rafael Devers (knee) out Sunday against White Sox
Rafael Devers (knee) is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the White Sox.

Advice: Devers was removed Saturday due to soreness in his knee, and it’s been a lingering issue for the 27-year-old slugger. He’ll get a day off Sunday with Bobby Dalbec getting the start at the hot corner and hitting seventh. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:35 am
