• Loses to Rockies
Buehler (1-3) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out seven over six innings, taking the loss Friday versus the Rockies.

Advice: Buehler gave up three runs in the third inning and a solo home run to Ezequiel Tovar in the fourth. While it wasn't a particularly sharp outing for Buehler, the Dodgers supported him with just five hits and two walks. He has two quality starts in five outings since returning from Tommy John surgery. Buehler is at a 4.32 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB over 25 innings this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Pirates. Rotowire.com Today, 10:08 pm
  • Walker Buehler gives up three earned in defeat
Walker Buehler allowed four runs — three earned — in a loss Friday to the Rockies.

Advice: Buehler dealt with control issues, as he walked four while throwing 56-of-92 pitches for strikes. The 29-year-old allowed three runs in the third with run-scoring hits by Brendan Rodgers and Kris Bryant, and an inning later he allowed a solo shot to Ezequiel Tovar. It wasn’t a horrific start and Buehler did strike out seven, but a disappointing one considering the opponent. He’ll get the Pirates next week, assuming the rotation doesn’t change. • Jeremy Peña getting a night off on Friday
Jeremy Peña is not in the Astros’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Twins.

Advice: It’s nothing more than a routine night off for the 26-year-old shortstop. Mauricio Dubon will start in his place and will bat seventh for the Astros against Pablo Lopez and the Twins on Friday evening in Houston. Rotoworld Today, 1:14 pm

  • Getting first day off
Pena is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Minnesota, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Pena had started each of Houston's 57 games this season but will receive his first day off Friday amid a 1-for-16 slump. Mauricio Dubon will play shortstop and bat seventh Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:14 pm

  • Two more steals in win
Thomas went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Thursday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: Thomas reached base and stole second in each of his first two trips to the plate while also coming around to score a run in the latter at-bat. The outfielder has been on a tear since returning from the injured list and is now batting .353 (6-for-17) through four games in May with three RBI, four stolen bases and four runs scored, swiping a pair of bags in back-to-back contests. • Perfect at plate Thursday
Lindor went 4-for-4 with a home run, an additional RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-2 win against Arizona.

Advice: Lindor suffered a swollen finger on a bunt attempt during a game Tuesday, but the issue hasn't caused him to miss any time and certainly didn't seem to impact his swing Thursday. The shortstop collected his second four-hit game of the season, which was highlighted by a 431-foot solo homer in the third inning. Lindor is still batting just .225 on the campaign, but he's hit safely in nine straight contests and has posted a .375 batting average, two homers, four doubles and six RBI over that span. • Homers in return
Pasquantino went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 7-6 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Pasquantino missed Wednesday's game due to a shin injury, but his absence wasn't a long one. He served as the designated hitter Thursday, but it shouldn't be long before he's back at first base. The 26-year-old's homer was his first since May 9, which was also the date of his previous multi-hit effort. Pasquantino is slashing just .229/.309/.404 with six homers, 35 RBI, 26 runs scored, 13 doubles and a triple over 220 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:44 pm
  • Lane Thomas swipes two bags in win over ATL
Lane Thomas stole two bases and scored a run in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday.

Advice: Thomas continues to be one of the better stolen-base threats in the sport, and it’s worth pointing out that his 15 swipes have come in just 26 games. The speed has been there for the 28-year-old. Now, about that .212/.278/.327 slash line. Those numbers should continue to get better, but in the meantime, he’s definitely helping fantasy managers in one category. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:00 pm

  • Francisco Lindor goes 4-for-4 with homer and steal
Francisco Lindor went 4-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and a stolen base in a 3-2 win Thursday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Fantasy managers have to be thrilled seeing this one, as Lindor has been a massive disappointment a third of the way through 2024. The homer is the ninth of the season, and the stolen base gives the 30-year-old seven swipes through 2024. Lindor has gotten off to poor starts before only to finish hot, and there’s reason to believe that can happen again. It doesn’t make the previous two months any less frustrating, however.
