    • Ketel Marte stays hot Thursday in loss to Giants
Ketel Marte singled on Thursday in the Diamondbacks’ loss to the Giants.

Advice: Marte led off the contest with a single back up the middle off Giants starter Logan Webb. He’s been on an absolute tear of late with eight hits in 14 at-bats over his last three contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:58 pm
    • Picks up third steal
Cowser went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Cowser's power has come back down with no home runs over his last three games, but he's still hitting well, going 3-for-11 in that span. The outfielder is slashing .400/.429/.800 with four homers, three steals, 15 RBI, eight runs scored and six doubles over 49 plate appearances. Cowser's continued success will likely mean that Austin Hays remains in a bench role, though manager Brandon Hyde has had no trouble resting his other outfielders to keep Cowser in the lineup so far. • First day off Thursday
Kwan is out of the lineup for Thursday's contest in Boston.

Advice: Kwan will get his first day off of the season. David Fry will start in left field in place of Kwan, while Andres Gimenez serves as Cleveland's leadoff batter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:36 am

    • Homers again, tallies three hits
Marte went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Marte led off the bottom of the first with a solo home run, jumping on the first pitch he saw from Jordan Wicks to give the Diamondbacks an early 1-0 lead. He then doubled in his next at-bat to lead off the third and singled home a run in the fifth to tie the game at 2-2. The second baseman continues to swing a hot bat and has now recorded at least three hits in back-to-back contests, raising his batting average to .325 in the process. Marte has also homered in two straight games, giving him five long balls in the early campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:07 am
    • Power surge continues Wednesday
Ozuna went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Astros.

Advice: The veteran slugger got Atlanta on the board in the second inning, leading off the frame by crushing a J.P. France sweeper 432 feet to left field. Ozuna is tied with Mike Trout for the MLB lead with eight homers, and Wednesday's blast extended his hitting streak to 16 games -- a stretch in which he's slashed .379/.431/.788 with 13 runs and 23 RBI, in addition to all eight long balls. • Offensive catalyst in win
Raleigh went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in a win over the Reds on Wednesday.

Advice: Several Mariners hitters enjoyed solid offensive performances Wednesday, but Raleigh set the pace with his three trips on the basepaths. That included the backstop's co-team-high third homer of the season, which erased an early 1-0 deficit for Seattle in the second inning. Raleigh has now reached safely in five straight games, and a career-high 13.1 percent walk rate has helped him get to a .311 on-base percentage despite an uninspiring .208 average. • Notches seventh save
Holmes earned the save in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Blue Jays, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Holmes has yet to allow an earned run through nine appearances this year and he improved to 7-for-8 in save chances, tying Kyle Finnegan and Ryan Helsley for the league lead. The 31-year-old Holmes is establishing himself as one of the better closing options in baseball, earning a firm grasp on the ninth-inning job in New York after pitching to sub-3.00 ERAs in each of his previous two campaigns. • Another strong start
Detmers didn't factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and one walk over 5.1 innings against the Rays. He struck out four.

Advice: Although Detmers didn't reach seven strikeouts for the first time all season, he's now surrendered one earned run or zero in four straight outings. After seeing his K/9 jump up to 10.2 in 2023, Detmers has taken another step forward in that category with an 11.9 K/9 through 22.2 innings. The southpaw is tentatively scheduled to face the Orioles on Monday for his next start. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:48 pm

    • Goes 5.1 innings in no-decision
Stroman did not factor into the decision Wednesday against Toronto, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over. 5.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Daulton Varsho's two-run homer in the second inning accounted for the only runs against Stroman, but the Yankees couldn't take the lead until the ninth, leaving the right-hander with a no-decision. Stroman hasn't earned a win since his first start of the year against Houston -- overall, he's 1-1 with a 2.42 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB through his first four starts (22.1 innings). Stroman's currently slated to face the A's at home in his next start. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:47 pm
