    • Escapes with no-decision Saturday
Bradish came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Rays, giving up five runs on seven hits and three walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander wasn't at his sharpest, but he mostly got pecked to death as only one of the hits off him went for extra bases, a triple by Yandy Diaz in the second inning. Bradish got more than enough run support to avoid his first loss of the season, however. He'll take a 3.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 40:14 K:BB through 28.1 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Toronto. Rotowire.com Today, 4:34 am

    • Shaky in Saturday's loss
Kikuchi (2-5) took the loss Saturday as the Blue Jays fell 8-1 to the Pirates, coughing up six runs (five earned) on nine hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Pittsburgh jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, and while Kikuchi was able to avoid an early exit, he still wound up putting extra pressure on a Toronto bullpen that had already been taxed by a 14-inning game Friday. The southpaw left the mound after 89 pitches (61 strikes), and he's been tagged for 10 earned runs in 8.1 frames over his last two starts -- a far cry from the prior six weeks, in which he delivered six quality starts in eight outings with a 2.61 ERA. Kikuchi will look to rebound when he next takes the mound, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Orioles. Rotowire.com Today, 4:18 am
    • Belts 19th long ball
Tucker went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk in a 5-2 win against the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Tucker hit one of four homers against Minnesota starter Joe Ryan with a solo shot in the third inning. It was the 19th long ball of the campaign for the outfielder, second in the majors behind Aaron Judge (21). Tucker is easily on pace to surpass the career-best mark of 30 homers he established in both 2021 and 2022. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:32 pm

    • Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) likely heading to IL
Red Sox manager Alex Cora acknowledged after Saturday’s victory over the Tigers that Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) is likely heading to the injured list.

Advice: Just how long he’ll remain there is still up in the air though. The 23-year-old infielder suffered a right hamstring strain during the second inning of Saturday’s contest — the severity of which is not yet known. Expect Enmanuel Valdez to see increased action in the Red Sox’ infield while Grissom is shelved. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:51 pm

    • Kyle Tucker homers and walks against Twins
Kyle Tucker homered and walked in a victory for the Astros over the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Tucker also drew a walk. The 27-year-old is already up to 19 homers on the season with a .976 OPS to pair with them. Even with the Astros having a disappointing 2024 campaign, Tucker has been as good as he’s ever been over the first two-plus months of the campaign. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:03 pm

    • Kyle Bradish surrenders five runs in no-decision
Kyle Bradish allowed five runs with six strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Bradish was able to work around a pair of hits in the first inning, but allowed three runs in to score in the second on three singles and a triple. Things fell apart for Bradish in the third. A wild pitch put a runner on before he walked three straight batters to bring a run in. He was replaced with two outs in the inning at 76 pitches. He struck out six. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and a 40/14 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings into a start against the Blue Jays in Toronto on Thursday. • Likely to hit IL
Grissom has a mild right hamstring strain and is expected to be placed on the injured list, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reported Saturday.

Advice: Grissom was removed from Saturday's game against the Tigers in the third inning after slowing up and grabbing his right hamstring running to first on a groundout. While it's not the same hamstring that sidelined him at the start of the year, Saturday's injury will likely require an IL stint. While Grissom is sidelined, expect Romy Gonzalez, David Hamilton and Ceddanne Rafaela to see plenty of work in the middle infield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:52 pm

    • Yusei Kikuchi hit hard in loss to Pirates Saturday
Yusei Kikuchi was hit hard in Saturday afternoon’s loss to the Pirates, giving up six runs (five earned) on nine hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 32-year-old southpaw struck out four batters on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. The Pirates jumped on him for three runs in the opening inning, including a two-run blast off the bat of Ke’Bryan Hayes. Kikuchi then settled in until they scratched out two more in the fifth and another while chasing him in the sixth inning. He generated 12 swings and misses on 89 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll look to get back on track as he carries a 3.66 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 65/14 K/BB ratio (66 1/3 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the Orioles. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:55 pm
    • Vaughn Grissom diagnosed with hamstring strain
Vaughn Grissom was pulled from Saturday’s contest against the Tigers in the third inning due to a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Grissom missed plenty of action at the start of the 2024 season due to a left hamstring strain, so same issue but different leg. The severity of the strain — as well as how much time he may stand to miss — are not yet known. Connor Wong replaced him at second base on Saturday but obviously wouldn’t be a long-term option there if Grissom is forced to miss extended time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:43 pm
