    • Grayson Rodriguez strikes out seven in no-decision
      Grayson Rodriguez was outstanding in his return from the injured list on Saturday, racking up seven strikeouts over six innings of shutout baseball in a tough-luck no-decision against the Mariners.

      Advice: The right-hander allowed just one hit and three walks on the night. That one hit didnā€™t come until Julio Rodriguez reached on a one-out infield single in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old hurler got 13 swings and misses on 82 pitches on the night ā€” six of those on his slider ā€” while registering a CSW of 28 percent. He exited the game with a 2-0 lead and in line for his fifth victory of the season, but the Oā€™s bullpen would blow that lead the following inning. Rodriguez will carry an impressive 3.15 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a 44/15 K/BB ratio (40 innings) into Thursdayā€™s matchup against the White Sox in Chicago. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:50 pm
       
    • Stott blasts fifth home run Saturday
      Bryson Stott went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Nationals on Saturday.



      Advice: Stott continues to swing a solid bat for the Phillies. His home run tied the game in the seventh inning. Stott regularly bats fifth in the order and has a .282 average and .861 OPS on the season now.

    • Escapes with no-decision Saturday
      Eflin came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays, giving up four runs on nine hits over six innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

      Advice: After keeping Toronto hitters in check the first time through the order, Eflin saw the wheels come off in the fourth and fifth innings, as he put the Rays in a 4-0 hole that they eventually climbed out of. The right-hander managed to keep the ball in the yard, snapping a streak of four straight starts in which he'd served up a homer. Eflin will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and stellar 44:4 K:BB through 59 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Royals.       Garrett took a no-decision Saturday against the Mets, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Garrett looked out of sorts from the jump, hitting two batters with pitches while allowing three hits and two runs in the first inning. He started to settle in a bit after that, but Garrett was pulled with the bases loaded and one out in the fifth and then watched all three inherited runners cross the plate. We've seen two straight duds from Garrett since he's come off the injured list. Better days are surely ahead, but it will be difficult for fantasy managers to trust him next week in Arizona.       Braxton Garrett allowed six runs, seven hits and a walk in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Mets on Saturday.



      Advice: It was Garrettā€™s second start since coming off the injured list. Heā€™s allowed at least five runs in both of his starts and his ERA is up to 10.24. The silver lining is that Garrett has 13 strikeouts in 9 2/3 innings this year. The 26-year-old left-hander is scheduled to face the Diamondbacks on the road next weekend, but he should be left on the bench for now.

    • Zach Eflin surrenders four runs against Blue Jays
      Zach Eflin allowed four runs with three strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

      Advice: Eflin had worked through three scoreless innings before the Blue Jays brought a run across to score on three hits in the fourth. Four consecutive hits to start the fifth inning would bring three more runs in for Toronto. Eflin would return for one more inning, ending his day after six with three strikeouts. The 30-year-old right-hander will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a 44/4 K/BB ratio across 59 innings into a start against the Royals in Tampa Bay on Friday. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:57 pm
       
    • Return delayed multiple weeks
      Jung (wrist) still appears to be at least six weeks from returning to the lineup, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

      Advice: Jung has yet to pick up a bat after undergoing surgery on his right wrist April 2 and is expected to be reevaluated in another 10-to-14 days before being cleared to start taking swings. The initial timeline for his return was 6-to-8 weeks, which was later adjusted to 10-to-12 weeks, and he now appears to be tracking toward the latter end of that estimation, if not later. The repair of his fractured wrist proved to be trickier than initially anticipated, and Texas will likely be cautious in its approach with the budding star at third base, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him back until late June or early July.       Josh Jung (wrist) is at least six weeks away from returning, reports Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News.

      Advice: Ugh. Original post-surgery estimates put Jungā€™s potential return sometime around 10-12 weeks from the early-April procedure, but heā€™s progressing slower than originally anticipated. The 26-year-old slugger resumed throwing, fielding ground balls and running earlier this week, but has yet to resume swinging a bat. The -year-old third baseman is seven weeks removed from surgery, and while he hasnā€™t suffered any setbacks, isnā€™t likely to return until at least late June or early July.
