• Lifts fifth homer
Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Padres.

Advice: The homer was Suarez's second hit over six games in June, though both knocks have gone for extra bases. The third baseman hasn't hit for average well in the last five years, but his .202 mark this season is poor even by his usual standard. He's added a .592 OPS, five homers, 28 RBI, 24 runs scored and two stolen bases through 62 contests. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:00 pm
  • De La Cruz blasts 11th home run in win Thursday
Elly De La Cruz went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: De La Cruz took Javier Assad deep in the third inning for his 11th home run of the season. He’s only hitting .240, but with 11 home runs and 32 stolen bases already De La Cruz is on the fast track to having a first round ADP next season. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:48 pm

  • Helps fill in for injured mate
Duran entered as a pinch runner for Corey Seager (hamstring) and went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Thursday's 9-1 win over Detroit. He was also picked off/caught stealing.

Advice: Duran remained in the game to play third base while Josh Smith, the primary third baseman while Josh Jung (wrist) is unavailable, moved to shortstop to cover Seager's spot in the field. Texas manager Bruce Bochy downplayed the injury when speaking to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com following the game. If the injury lingers, the combination of Smith and Duran should handle the left side of the infield. The Rangers are off Thursday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:51 am

  • Plays seven innings in field
Perdomo (knee) started at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with an RBI in a rehab game with Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

Advice: Perdomo's rehab moved from the rookie-level Arizona Complex League to Reno on Wednesday, and the shortstop played seven innings in the field. Per Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, the Diamondbacks aren't targeting a specific number of games or at-bats for Perdomo; instead, his return date depends on how he feels. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo confirmed Perdomo won't be activated from the 10-day injured list during the upcoming four-game series against the Padres that begin Thursday, but a return next week could be in the cards. • Wilmer Flores homers, plates five in blowout win
Wilmer Flores went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI on Wednesday in the Giants’ lopsided win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Flores played a pivotal role in San Francisco’s unexpected six-run explosion against Arizona starter Jordan Montgomery in the third inning of this one, walloping a grand slam to left field for his second big fly of the season. It was the first time he’s gone deep since May 4. He also picked up an additional RBI in the late stages of the contest with a ninth-inning sacrifice fly. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:13 pm
  • Drives in five in win
Flores went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and five RBI in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The Giants launched three homers on the day, but Flores' grand slam off Jordan Montgomery in the third inning proved to be the biggest blow. Flores snapped a 21-game homer drought with the blast, but that May 4 shot was his only other homer on the season. The 32-year-old's five RBI on Wednesday equaled his total from his prior 26 games combined. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:45 pm
  • Heading to bench Wednesday
Duran is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Duran had been included in the lineup in each of Texas' last six games, drawing three starts at first base, two at designated hitter and one at second base over that stretch while going 4-for-20 with an RBI and a run. He'll cede his spot in the lineup to Travis Jankowski on Wednesday, but Duran should have a path to steady playing time until the Rangers bring back one of Josh Jung (wrist) or Evan Carter (back) from the injured list. • Alex Bregman (hand) expected to return on Friday
Alex Bregman (hand) is expected to return to the Astros’ lineup on Friday.

Advice: The 30-year-old third baseman was scratched from Wednesday’s lineup due to soreness in his left hand, but the expectation is that after an off-day on Thursday he’ll be ready to return. The same can’t be said for Kyle Tucker who missed his second straight game on Wednesday and still may not be ready to return on Friday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:33 pm
  • Mets bringing Brett Baty to London
The Mets are bringing Brett Baty, catcher Joe Hudson and reliever Cole Sulser to London for this weekend’s series versus the Phillies.

Advice: One of the three will get added to the roster as a 27th man for the series. The other two will be around just in case someone gets hurt and the Mets want to make a roster move. We’re guessing Baty will get added to the roster, since playing in five Triple-A games would seem to be more beneficial to him than six days of no baseball. Baty homered twice for Triple-A Syracuse in his second game for the club Sunday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 11:56 am
