    • On base three times Sunday
Wood went 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: The 21-year-old rookie is already being pitched around and treated as the most dangerous hitter in the Nationals' lineup, drawing six free passes in his first seven MLB games. Wood is doing damage when he gets his bat on the ball too, batting .320 (8-for-25) with a double, a homer and six RBI while hitting third against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Today, 9:56 am
    • Goes deep Sunday
Profar went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 9-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Profar's first inning blast was the only run the Padres were able to muster up on the afternoon. He's now homered in three of his last four games and has an RBI in four straight. The 31-year-old also has at least a hit in 18 of his last 19 games. Profar is now slashing .315/.408/.498 with 14 homers, 59 RBI, 52 runs and a 46:56 BB:K in 372 plate appearances. • Little run support in loss
Cease (7-8) took the loss Sunday against the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out eight over seven innings.

Advice: All three runs scored against Cease came from the long ball. Corbin Carroll opened up the game with a solo home run and then Eugenio Suarez put the Diamondbacks ahead with a two-run blast in the seventh. Cease has now given up four homers over his last two starts and has given up 14 in 14 starts dating back to April 27. He has a 5.11 ERA over that span, though that also comes with an elite 11.7 K/9. For the year, the 28-year-old owns a 4.21 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 128:33 K:BB in 109 innings. He lines up to face Atlanta at home this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 6:16 am
    • Winds up with win
Green (2-1) took the win Sunday against Seattle, allowing two hits and a walk with two strikeouts across a scoreless inning.

Advice: Green entered the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with the score 4-4, and although he let runners reach second and third with one out, Green was able to send the game to extra innings, where the Blue Jays would deliver Green his second victory. The 33-year-old has allowed just one run in his last 9.2 innings and has been the Blue Jays' impromptu closer in the wake of injuries to Jordan Romano (elbow) and Yimi Garcia (elbow). Prior to being shelved, Garcia was firmly ahead of Green for save chances, but with Green in the midst of an exceptional season highlighted by what would be a career-best 1.57 ERA, the closing role may no longer be as cut and dry. • Charged with blown save
Stanek blew the save Sunday against Toronto, allowing one run on two hits and a walk with a strikeout over one inning.

Advice: Stanek took the mound in the seventh inning, inheriting a pair of runners with no outs and a 4-1 lead. After striking out Kevin Kiermaier, Stanek surrendered a three-run home run to George Springer, tying the game and resulting in the blown save. Stanek briefly took closing duties from Andres Munoz in mid June while Munoz dealt with a back injury, but Stanek has since yielded ninth-inning work to Munoz. Rotowire.com Today, 12:51 am

    • Clubs three-run homer
Kjerstad went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Sunday's 6-3 win over Oakland.

Advice: Kjerstad took Mitch Spence yard in the first inning, plating Ryan O'Hearn and Jordan Westburg with the three-run slam. In 51 plate appearances with Baltimore, Kjerstad has posted a .938 OPS with three homers and 12 RBI while carving out a significant role in a loaded Orioles outfield. • Picks up seventh steal
Burleson went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Burleson has picked up multiple hits in three of his last six games. He's also stolen two bases in his last three games and five over his last 15. The 25-year-old's impressive first half has been a key factor in the Cardinals turnaround as he's settled into the second spot in the lineup. Burleson is hitting .281/.318/.455 with 13 home runs and 42 RBI over 82 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm

    • Dylan Cease gives up two homers in defeat
Dylan Cease yielded three runs in seven innings Sunday in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The runs came on longballs from two players who had totaled two and six homers while serving as regulars all year long. He’s given up 14 homers in his last 14 starts, resulting in a 5.11 ERA even though he has an impressive 103/22 K/BB ratio in 79 1/3 innings over that span. There’s no reason he can’t bounce back with a big second half, but there’s also no good reason he isn’t already pitching better. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    • Heston Kjerstad hits three-run homer in win
Heston Kjerstad hit a three-run homer in the victory over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Kjerstad was making just his second start in five games, which is the same number as Colton Cowser and one less than Austin Hays, even though four of those games were against righties. It’s pretty much impossible to trust either Kjerstad or Cowser in weekly leagues at this point, though either would likely be a useful mixed-league outfielder if the Orioles sent down the other.
