    • Homers twice in win
Candelario went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in a 4-2 win over the Guardians on Wednesday.

Advice: Candelario hit a solo home run off Tanner Bibee in the first inning and followed it up with a three-run homer off Bibee to give the Reds a 4-2 lead in the sixth. He then added a single in the eighth. Candelario has been mashing in June, hitting .340 with five homers and 11 RBI through 11 contests. While Candelario's .243 season average still isn't great, he now has 11 home runs and 31 RBI in 248 plate appearances and is hitting in the heart of a hot Reds lineup. • Jeimer Candelario powers Reds past Guardians
Jeimer Candelario blasted a pair of homers and drove in four runs on Wednesday night, accounting for all of the Reds’ offense in a 4-2 victory over the Guardians.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder opened the scoring in the contest with a 404-foot (104.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Tanner Bibee. He then put the Reds ahead to stay with a 343-foot (96.9 mph EV) three-run blast that chased Bibee from the game in the sixth inning. Candelario also singled in the ballgame, finishing the night 3-for-4. On the season, he’s now slashing .243/.306/.476 with 11 homers and 31 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:08 pm

    • Jeimer Candelario drives in a run in loss
Jeimer Candelario went 1-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Candelario got the scoring started with a run-scoring double off of Triston McKenzie in the first inning for his 27th RBI of the season. The 30-year-old has been picking it up of late, slashing .277/.338/.585 over his last 16 games with five home runs, nine runs, nine RBI, and two steals. Given his big contract in the offseason, he figures to remain in the Reds lineup every day even when Noelvi Marte comes back, shifting back to being the primary first baseman. Now could be the time to scoop up the Candy Man if he’s still on waivers in your league. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:36 pm

    • Records two hits in return
Machado went 2-for-4 in Monday's 6-1 win against Oakland.

Advice: Machado missed four games due to a strained right hip flexor before returning to the lineup as the Padres' designated hitter Monday. He singled in his first at-bat and reached third base on an ensuing single and walk. Machado notched another single in the seventh and again reached third on a pair of singles before being pulled for a pinch runner, though that decision didn't appear to be related to a worsening of the hip issue. It's unclear when Machado may be asked to play the field again. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:02 am
    • Manny Machado (hip) rejoins Padres lineup as DH
Manny Machado is in the lineup as a DH for Monday’s game against the A’s.

Advice: Machado missed four starts after hurting his hip Wednesday. He’s batting fifth tonight, with Jurickson Profar remaining in the third spot. Machado has moved around the middle of the Padres lineup some this season, but he did hit third in the three games preceding his injury. Rotoworld Monday, 2:45 pm
    • Returning to lineup Monday
Padres manager Mike Shildt said in an interview on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Machado (hip) will be back in the lineup Monday versus the Athletics as the team's designated hitter.

Advice: Machado was held out of the lineup for the previous four games due to a strained right hip flexor, although he was able to pinch hit once over that stretch. He will be eased back into the mix Monday as the club's DH, with a return to third base coming "hopefully sooner than later," per Shildt. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:04 pm
    • Absence continuing Sunday
Machado (hip) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Diamondbacks, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: Machado continues to nurse a strained right hip flexor and will sit Sunday for the fourth straight game. The 31-year-old appeared as a pinch hitter in the first of those absences Thursday but otherwise hasn't seen game action since he suffered the injury Wednesday. Donovan Solano is receiving another start at the hot corner in the series finale against Arizona. Rotowire.com Jun 9, 10:29 am
    • Manny Machado (hip) out again Sunday
Manny Machado (hip) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Padres.

Advice: Machado will get another day while dealing with the hip injury he suffered during Wednesday’s game against the Angels. He has been able to play as a pinch-hitter, however, and he has a chance to be available off the bench for the series finale as well. Donovan Solano is starting at third and hitting fifth in Machado’s absence. Rotoworld Jun 9, 10:19 am
    • Out of Sunday's lineup
Hayes is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Hayes had started nine of 10 games since he returned from his back injury in late May, with the lone absence coming in a doubleheader. The 27-year-old has a .745 OPS in 33 at-bats since coming back from the injury, and Sunday's rest day will give him two straight days to take it easy since the Pirates have a team day off Monday. Jared Triolo will man the hot corner in the series finale versus Minnesota. Rotowire.com Jun 9, 9:33 am
