      De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Cardinals.

      Advice: De La Cruz hit an RBI double in the third inning and followed it up with his 40th steal of the season. He then tripled and scored in a six-run fifth frame for the Reds. After going eight games without a steal, the 22-year-old has now swiped a bag in three consecutive contests and continues to lead the league in the category. He did strike out three times to bring his league-leading season total to 110 but is still hitting a solid .255 with 14 home runs, 37 RBI and 55 runs scored over 355 plate appearances.     • Paul Skenes strike out nine against Atlanta
      Paul Skenes struck out nine over six innings of one-run baseball but didn’t factor into the decision Saturday against Atlanta.

      Advice: Skenes gave up a leadoff homer to Jarred Kelenic in the first, and from that point out he was essentially lights out. The right-hander scattered six total hits in the contests with two walks allowed and 61-of-102 pitches going for strikes. To say that Skenes has lived up to the hype thus far is an understatement, and over his last four starts he’s given up a total of three runs with a 32/4 K/BB over 25 1/3 innings.     • Bibee picks up seventh win against Royals Saturday
      Tanner Bibee allowed two runs in six innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 7-2 victory over the Royals on Saturday.

      Advice: Bibee gave up four hits, walked none and struck out three. The win was his seventh of the season and third in a row. It wasn’t a big strikeout game for Bibee, just another solid outing. He has a 3.47 ERA and 3.29 xFIP on the year. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Giants at home next week.

    • Chris Bassitt strikes out eight in win vs. Yankees
      Chris Bassitt allowed one run -- zero earned -- with eight strikeouts over six innings in a win over the Yankees on Saturday.

      Advice: Bassitt was excellent against the Yankees, tossing his third straight quality start. He tossed four scoreless frames before the Yankees brought a run in after an error in the fifth. Bassitt would close out a scoreless sixth with eight strikeouts on the day. The 35-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and a 91/37 K/BB ratio across 97 1/3 innings.       Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a triple, double, a run scored, one RBI, and a steal in the Reds’ 9-4 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

      Advice: De La Cruz brought a run in to score with a double in the third inning before stealing third base for his MLB-leading 40th steal of the season. He then tripled in the fifth and scored on a fielding error. The 22-year-old shortstop is slashing .255/.346/.474 with 14 homers, 55 runs scored, and 37 RBI across 355 plate appearances.       Snell (groin) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday and is expected to rejoin the Giants rotation after their road trip that ends July 7, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

      Advice: Snell threw three innings in a start with Sacramento on Friday, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts. The 31-year-old will require one more rehab appearance before being reinstated and is on track to make a start with San Francisco prior to the All-Star break.       Advice: The 31-year-old southpaw pitched three innings in Friday’s latest rehab outing, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk while punching out six.
