    • Knocks homer in loss
Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Perez heads into the All-Star break 11-for-31 (.355) with three homers and eight RBI during his active eight-game hitting streak. The catcher is up to 17 homers on the year, giving him a good chance of surpassing the 23 he hit in each of the last two campaigns. He's added 62 RBI, 38 runs scored, 16 doubles and a .282/.343/.477 slash line over 94 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:18 pm

    • Clubs homer in win
Santander went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a triple in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Santander is 13-for-46 (.283) with five extra-base hits and three RBI over 12 contests in July. It was always reasonable to expect that he'd take a step back in the power department after slugging 13 homers in June. For the season, the outfielder is slashing .237/.301/.503 with 24 long balls, 58 RBI, 49 runs scored, 16 doubles and two triples over 91 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:54 pm

    • Escapes with save
Fairbanks allowed two hits in a scoreless inning and earned a save against the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Fairbanks was tasked with protecting a 2-0 lead and found himself in danger after coughing up singles to the first two batters he faced. He managed to retire the next three to escape unscathed. Fairbanks has converted 17 of 19 save chances this season while producing a 3.21 ERA and a 32:15 K:BB. Since the start of June, he owns a 2.55 ERA with 12 saves in 17 appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:29 pm
    • Blake Snell takes no-no into seventh against Twins
Blake Snell allowed one hit over seven scoreless innings and struck out eight against the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Snell allowed just one hard-hit ball, which turned into an out. The lone hit against him was a clean single from Manuel Margot on a 97-mph fastball in the on the hands in the seventh. Snell walked none and was at just 80 pitches through seven, but since he’s coming back from injury, the Giants weren’t going to push it. He’s allowed two hits over 12 scoreless innings since coming off the IL, lowering his ERA from 9.51 to 6.31. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:21 pm

    • Eyeing July 26 return
Friedl (hamstring) will head to the Reds' training facility in Arizona this week to increase his baseball activities, and manager David Bell said Sunday that the outfielder is trending toward a July 26 return from the 10-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Friedl was placed on the IL for the third time this season June 24 after he strained his right hamstring June 17 and played through the injury for about a week. The 28-year-old seems to be progressing as expected from his latest setback on the health front, but he still has a few more hurdles to clear in the recovery process before being activated. Once he's ready to rejoin the Reds, Friedl should step back in as the club's everyday center fielder. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:04 pm

    • Fantastic against Twins
Snell allowed one hit and struck out eight without walking a batter over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Snell carried a perfect game into the seventh inning, and he faced the minimum in his start by erasing the one hit he gave up with a double play. The left-hander was denied the win after Camilo Doval blew a save opportunity, but the Giants bounced back for the team victory. Snell has allowed two hits and three walks over 12 innings since returning from a groin injury, finally showing his skills after an injury-riddled start to 2024. He has a 6.31 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 42:17 K:BB through 35.2 innings over eight starts, but he should be considered a buy-low target in fantasy. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:44 pm

    • Stumbles again versus Brewers
Irvin (7-8) allowed seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Brewers.

Advice: After a nine-start stretch in which he allowed more than two runs just once, Irvin has been tagged for 13 runs (12 earned) across his last two outings. The right-hander's ERA ticked up to 3.49 with a 1.11 WHIP and 99:29 K:BB through 116 innings over 20 starts this season. He's shown significant improvement in his second big-league campaign, but it'll be important to keep an eye on how he holds up during the second half. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:34 pm

    • Salvador Perez goes 2-for-4, hits 17th homer
Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 and hit his 17th homer against the Red Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Perez slumped in June, but he’s bounced back nicely of late and will enter the All-Star break with an eight-game hitting streak. The homer today was his third during the streak and sixth in his last 18 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:54 pm

    • Jake Irvin hit hard by Brewers in first half finale
Jake Irvin allowed nine hits and seven runs, six earned, in four innings of work on Sunday against the Brewers. He struck out three, walked three, and took the loss.

Advice: Irvin’s tremendous first half fell apart in his last two starts. His ERA rose from 2.80 to 3.49 since Monday and his curveball that has looked so dominant suddenly became mortal. The Brewers jumped on Irvin quickly in this one with back-to-back doubles by Christian Yelich and Willy Adames to plate their first run and Irvin didn’t have a single clean inning. It will be critical for him to make some sort of adjustment when he comes back after the break. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:48 pm
