      Teoscar Hernández (personal) will not play in Tuesday’s game against the White Sox.

      Advice: Hernández was scheduled to fly back from the Dominican Republic to Chicago for Tuesday’s affair, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts decided to give the 31-year-old another day off according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.       The Reds placed Lodolo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left finger blister.

      Advice: Lodolo battled the blister issue during his start this past Sunday against the Red Sox, and the Reds have opted to give the left-hander some down time in order to let the finger heal. He had been slated to start Friday in St. Louis, but the Reds will now need a substitute.     • Reds place Nick Lodolo on IL with finger blister
      Reds placed LHP Nick Lodolo on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 24, with a left finger blister.

      Advice: Lodolo was ineffective against the Red Sox on Sunday, and it’s possible the blister had something to do with the issue. He’ll be out of action for a couple of weeks, and it seems likely that Graham Ashcraft will take his spot in the rotation. In the meantime, Yosver Zulueta is up to take Lodolo’s spot on the roster.     • Lifts ninth homer Monday
      Garver went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Rays on Monday.

      Advice: Garver's seventh-inning, 400-foot shot to left with Dominic Canzone aboard snapped a 1-1 tie and gave the Mariners their final two runs of the night. The round tripper snapped a brief 0-for-12 skid that had encompassed Garver's last three-plus games, and it marked the veteran's fourth time leaving the yard in the last 15 contests. Garver is carrying a forgettable .200 average across his 75 plate appearances in June, but an 18.7 percent walk rate and nine extra-base hits have helped him to an impressive .830 OPS in that same span.       Mets manager Carlos Mendoza acknowledged Sunday that Scott has a "good chance" of being called up from Triple-A Syracuse to enter the rotation during the team's upcoming stretch of 17 games in 17 days that begins Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. "He's in play," Mendoza said.

      Advice: The Mets have already confirmed their starters through Saturday, so Scott could be called up as early as Sunday's series finale versus the Astros. More likely, the Mets will allow Scott to make another start at Triple-A this week before having him join the big-league rotation for next week's series in Washington. According to Will Sammon of The Athletic, Scott has been working on his sweeper during his latest stint with Syracuse, and over three starts since his demotion in late May, he's posted a 2.08 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB in 13 innings.       Advice: The slugging third baseman took Lance Lynn deep in the fifth inning, but it was the only extra-base hit Atlanta managed on the night. Riley is having one of his patented hot streaks, launching five of his eight homers on the season over the last 10 games while slashing .441/.513/1.000 with four doubles, 10 RBI and 10 runs.       Duran went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 7-6 walk-off win over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Duran figured prominently in the come-from-behind win, in which Boston scored five times in the final two innings. Thanks to a miscommunication by Toronto's left side of the infield, his eighth-inning popup fell to the ground for a double followed by David Hamilton's two-run home run. An inning later, Duran produced the walk-off run with a single. The outfielder has multiple hits in five consecutive games (12-for-23) and has hit safely in 14 straight.       Hoskins went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in a 6-3 win against Texas on Monday.

      Advice: The Brewers were down 3-1 in the sixth inning when Hoskins turned the game around with his grand slam to left field. The big blast snapped a 15-game homerless drought for the slugger, during which he batted just .170 with 22 strikeouts over 53 at-bats.       McArthur earned a save against the Marlins on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

      Advice: McArthur entered in the ninth frame with Kansas City up by three runs and made quick work of Miami, retiring the side in order on 10 pitches. That netted him his first save since June 6 and his 13th overall this season. McArthur's 18-day span between saves was of no fault of his own -- he didn't see any save opportunities during that stretch, and the only save by any KC pitcher during that period came in a game during which McArthur was used in a high-leverage spot and ended up with the victory.
