• Collects four hits
Carpenter went 4-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's win over the Twins.

Advice: Carpenter doubled and scored in the first inning before knocking three singles throughout the rest of the night. He's now 9-for-21 (.429) with five extra-base hits over his last five contests. This hot stretch has boosted his season slash line to .328/.371/.621 through 62 plate appearances. • Blake Perkins doubles twice against Cardinals
Blake Perkins went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored in an extra-inning win over the Cardinals on Friday.

Advice: Perkins was driven in by William Contreras after both two-baggers. The 27-year-old has been a pleasant surprise for the Brew Crew thus far, as he’s provided offensive value to go with his strong defense as seen in a slash of .341/.400/.537. It’s very hard to believe that what Parkins has done is sustainable, but so far so good. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago
  • William Contreras drives in game-winner in extras
William Contreras drove in two runs including the game-winner in the 10th to give the Brewers a 2-1 win over the Cardinals on Friday.

Advice: Contreras gets the better of big bro Willson Contreras on Friday night. The younger Contreras drove in Blake Perkins twice in the victory, and the second was the biggest; an RBI single in the 10th to ultimately give Milwaukee the victory. Contreras is now slashing an outstanding .361/.440/.597 over the first 72 at-bats in 2024. What a pickup he’s been for the Brewers over his first two seasons in Milwaukee. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago
  • Knocks first homer
Larnach went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's loss to Detroit.

Advice: In his third game back from the injured list, Larnach hammered a two-run shot in the first inning. It was his first home run and first multi-hit game of the 2024 season. In 58 MLB games last season, Larnach slashed .213/.311/.415 with 18 extra-base hits and 40 RBI. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago
  • Wenceel Perez leads Tigers past Twins on Friday
Wenceel Perez went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBI on Friday night, leading the Tigers to a 5-4 victory over the Twins in Minnesota.

Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder tied up the score at 2-2 in the third inning with an RBI single off of Joe Ryan. He then swiped second base and dashed around to score the go-ahead run on an RBI single by Kerry Carpenter. He then led off the sixth inning with a triple off of Ryan and once again scored on a Carpenter single. With two outs in the ninth inning, the Twins opted to walk Mark Canha intentionally to face Perez, who responded by delivering an RBI single to center that gave the Tigers the 5-4 advantage. He has been great in his limited action so far, hitting .313/.353/.500 with two RBI and a pair of stolen bases in 17 plate appearances. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago
  • Two homers, six RBI in win
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a pair of three-run homers in Friday's 7-0 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: Bohm drove in six of the Phillies' seven runs Friday, launching three-run homers off Garrett Crochet in the first and third innings. It was quite a performance from the 27-year-old Bohm, who came into the day with just one homer on the year while going 3-for-17 in his previous six contests. Bohm's now slashing .258/.364/.470 through 77 plate appearances this season with 17 RBI, seven runs scored and a stolen base. Rotowire.com 46 minutes ago

  • Tyler Freeman hits two-run homer against A’s
Tyler Freeman went 2-for-4 and hit a two-run homer against the A’s on Friday.

Advice: The homer was about as light as homers get; it left Freeman’s bat at 89.5 mph and was projected at 331 feet. Statcast says it wouldn’t have been a homer anywhere else. Freeman, though, deserved the break, considering he entered the night with an xBA that was 50 points higher than his actual .192 average. He’s not an option in standard mixed leagues, but he could surprise and prove rather useful in deeper formats. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

  • Brent Rooker homers in return from injured list
Brett Rooker came off the bench and homered in his second at-bat Friday against the Guardians.

Advice: Rooker didn’t start in his return from the IL, but he replaced Lawrence Butler against a lefty in the sixth. He struck out then, only to homer against righty Scott Barlow in the ninth. We’re not sure whether Rooker is one of Oakland’s nine-best options against righties, but he seems like at least as good of a choice as Tyler Nevin, who started over him at DH tonight. None of this really matters outside of AL-only leagues, but playing time is a question for a number of A’s at the moment. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago
  • Trevor Larnach goes deep in loss to Tigers Friday
Trevor Larnach went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI on Friday night as the Twins fell to the Tigers in the opener of their three-game weekend series.

Advice: The 27-year-old slugger got the Twins on the board in a hurry, crushing a 415-foot (106.9 mph EV) two-run shot off of Jack Flaherty that gave the Twins a 2-1 lead in the home half of the first inning. He also singled in the contest. With his two-hit attack, Larnach is now hitting .300/.300/.600 with a homer and two RBI through his first 10 at-bats on the season. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago
