  • Hanley homers twice and drives in four vs BAL
Hanley Ramirez homered twice and drove in four runs in an 18-7 loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: Hanley's onslaught didn't come until the game was well out of reach. He hit a solo home run in the eighth inning and a three-run shot in the ninth to draw the team to within 18-7. Close but not quite on the comeback. Han-Ram now has eight home runs and 17 RBI, with a terrifying slash of .300/.359/.643. Some guys crumble under the pressure of playing for the Red Sox, some guys don't. Ramirez is clearly of the later species and is making his club look very smart for signing him to the big off-season deal. Rotoworld.com

  • Carlos Correa raises his average to .356
Astros prospect Carlos Correa had a productive night Saturday, going 3-for-5 with a homer and a stolen base for Double-A Corpus Christi in the second game of a doubleheader.

Advice: Correa rebounded nicely after going hitless in the first game of the doubleheader. The 20-year-old has quietly been one of the best hitters in Double-A this season, ranking fifth in the Texas League in batting average (.356) and second in RBI (16). It's only a matter of time before he gets called up to Triple-A Fresno. Rotoworld.com

  • Corey Seager cranks a pair of homers
Dodgers prospect Corey Seager belted a pair of homers Saturday for Double-A Tulsa.

Advice: The 20-year-old has impressed at every level, hitting .320 across 1,082 minor league at-bats. Seager doesn't walk much (just two free passes this season), but that approach hasn't hindered his success. His .433 average this season leads all Texas League hitters. Seager doesn't have anything left to prove at Double-A and should be headed to Triple-A Oklahoma City shortly. Rotoworld.com

  • Orlando Arcia launches first Double-A homer
Brewers prospect Orlando Arcia extended his hitting streak to eight games Saturday with a 2-for-4 outing for Double-A Biloxi.

Advice: The 20-year-old went deep for his first Double-A home run on Saturday. Arcia's .458 average this season is second-best in the Southern League. Milwaukee's top prospect has recorded at least two hits in each of his last three games. If the name sounds familiar it's because Arcia's older brother Oswaldo plays outfield for the Minnesota Twins. J.J. Hardy (shoulder) will need at least 3-4 rehab games before being activated from the disabled list.

  • Elvis Andrus goes 2-for-4, steals base
Elvis Andrus finished 2-for-4 with a stolen base Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: Andrus has reached base in five straight, a major accomplishment for a Rangers hitter this year. Unfortunately, he's still batting just .208 overall. Worse, he's drawn one walk in 73 at-bats, an unusual problem for the light-hitting shortstop; if nothing else, he's usually managed a decent walk rate for a guy with so little power. Rotoworld.com

  • Tulowitzki hits home run in loss to Giants
Troy Tulowitzki hit a solo home run in Saturday's 11-inning loss to the Giants.

Advice: The home run was Tulowitzki's second of the season and gave him nine RBI. He also added a single to finish the game 2-for-5. While his .303/.309/.530 slash-line is impressive in its own right (though his lack of walks is somewhat odd), owners should be even more pleased that Tulo's showing no ill-effect or discomfort from last year's hip surgery. If he can stay healthy, his bat remains one of the best in the game. Rotoworld.com

J.J. Hardy was given a shoulder injection on Saturday.

Advice: He'll rest up for a few days before testing his shoulder again on Wednesday. Hardy was originally expected to be back at the end of the month, but that's no longer an option. • Danny Santana getting a breather on Saturday
Danny Santana is not in the Twins' lineup Saturday.

Advice: Santana entered the year as a fantasy sleeper but instead has scuffled out of the gate. His average is barely above the Mendoza line and he's only swiped one bag after stealing 20 last season. With Santana sitting out, Eduardo Escobar will draw the start at shortstop. Joe Mauer is the only lefty in the lineup tonight against Mariners southpaw James Paxton. Rotoworld.com

Ben Zobrist is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.

  • Peralta goes 3-for-4 with home run in win
Jhonny Peralta hit a solo home run and went 3-for-4 in Friday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Peralta launched the solo home run off of Matt Garza in the sixth inning. The big game jumped his batting line up to .317/.344/.500. All was not roses for the shortstop, as he did commit an error in the field. Such things do not lead to runs when you're playing the Brewers, though, and the Cardinals still came away with a 3-0 win. • Segura notches two hits in loss to Cardinals
Jean Segura went 2-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Segura had two singles in the game and is now slashing .302/.333/.398. The Brewers, as a team, managed just five hits. While Segura's putting up decent stats, there's only so much that a relatively light-hitting shortstop can do when everybody around him is struggling. To wit, Segura and Adam Lind are the only two regulars currently hitting over .246. Rotoworld.com

Advice: With Sam Fuld on the bench, it's the first time this year that Semien has batted higher than eighth. He'll probably return to the bottom of the order on Saturday, but it's possible he could get a long look in the two hole if he continues hitting. • Beckham cranks third homer of season
Tim Beckham hit his third home run of the season when he went yard against Jeff Francis in the seventh inning of Friday's romp over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Beckham's been a pinch-hit wizard, with both of his other homers this season coming off the bench. While Beckham did pinch-hit for David DeJesus against the Blue Jays on Friday, the home run came in his second at-bat. He finished the game 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored. A former No. 1 overall pick, his strong bench bat would probably be fun to own just for the sake of awesomeness. Over 36 AB's, he's hitting .278/.325/.583. It's not quite enough at-bats to say he's a must-add, but if he's floating on the waiver wire, keep an eye on him. Rotoworld.com

  • Reyes does not record hit in big loss to Rays
Jose Reyes went 0-for-3 in Friday's blowout loss to the Rays.

Advice: Reyes, who is dealing with a small fracture in his left rib, went hit-less against the Rays and has not recorded a hit in his last seven at-bats. Stretching beyond the last few games, he has just one hit since April 21, spanning 15 at-bats. While he has avoided a stay on the disabled list for the time being, it's not a surprise that the speedy shortstop has struggled of late. Reyes is hitting just .250/.268/.308 and has limited fantasy value until he starts getting on base more. Rotoworld.com

Nick Ahmed went 0-for-3 before being removed for a pinch-hitter Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: Ahmed is quite the defender, but he's batting .128 with one extra-base hit, one RBI and one run scored through 47 at-bats. He can't remain quite this bad, but he's likely to be the NL's worst offensive regular for however long the Diamondbacks stick with him. Rotoworld.com

  • Corey Seager playing some 3B at Double-A
Dodgers infield prospect Corey Seager has been playing some third base at Double-A Tulsa.

Advice: He's played there twice so far this season and president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman expects to see Seager at the hot corner "roughly once a week." Although the consensus among scouts is that the 6-foot-4, 215-pounder will eventually move to third base, the Dodgers aren't ready to push Seager off shortstop yet. "The idea is at some point, whether it’s this year or next year, to the extent that we have an injury and he’s our best option if he’s only played shortstop, that obviously limits him to an injury happening at that one position," Friedman said. "Giving him reps at another position only helps him and helps us." Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 5 prospect in the game, Seager is hitting .423/.436/.654 with two homers in his first 13 games for Tulsa and should be promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City before long.
