      Ohtani went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs during Sunday's 3-0 win over the Royals.

      Advice: Ohtani teed off on Brady Singer, tagging the Royals' starter for solo homers in the third and sixth innings for Ohtani's second multi-homer game of 2024. The 29-year-old is now up to 19 home runs on the season, tied for fourth-most in MLB.       Lively (6-3) took the loss Sunday against Toronto, yielding four earned runs on six hits and three walks in four innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Lively pitched for the first time in eight days after leaving his most recent start with tightness after 65 pitches. He surrendered a two-run home run to Ernie Clement in the second inning, his first home run allowed since May 26. The four earned runs are a season worst for the 32-year-old, who had notched wins in each of his previous five starts. Despite Sunday's rough outing, Lively has pitched well for Cleveland this season, logging a 3.02 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and a 52:18 K:BB across 59.2 innings pitched.     • Dealing with rotator cuff strain
      Yamamoto was diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain Sunday following an MRI, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Yamamoto was lifted after two innings in his start during Saturday's win over the Royals with what the Dodgers had termed as right tricep tightness. As expected, Yamamoto was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday, but the Dodgers didn't provide an updated diagnosis on his injury until after the results of his MRI were read. Manager Dave Roberts said that while the injury is not "season ending," Yamamoto Is "not going to throw for a couple of weeks, then we'll see where we go from there." Fortunately for the Dodgers, they'll be getting some reinforcement to their rotation in the form of right-hander Bobby Miller (shoulder), who is expected to be activated from the 15-day injured list during the upcoming week. After he was roughed up for five runs over one inning in his MLB debut March 21 against the Padres in Seoul, South Korea, Yamamoto had been as good as advertised over his subsequent 13 starts, ringing up a 6-1 record, 2.34 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 82:16 K:BB over 73 innings.     • Shohei Ohtani homers twice in Dodgers’ win
      Shohei Ohtani launched his 18th and 19th homers of the year Sunday off the Royals’ Brady Singer in a 3-0 win.

      Advice: The Dodgers’ other run came on the second of back-to-back homers from Freddie Freeman in the sixth. Ohtani’s first homer today was crushed 451 feet to center. Ohtani had been slumping some of late, having come in at .216/.310/.412 in June.     • Lively gives up four in loss to Blue Jays Sunday
      Ben Lively allowed four runs in four innings and got the loss against the Blue Jays on Sunday.



      Advice: Lively gave up six hits, walked three and struck out four. He had won his last five starts. Lively had allowed two runs through the first four innings. He was removed after walking Spencer Horwitz and Davis Schneider to begin the fifth inning. Both runners scored on Daulton Varsho’s grand slam off Nick Sandlin. Lively isn’t as good as his 3.02 ERA suggests given his 4.15 xFIP. He’s benefited greatly from an 85 percent left on base percentage and that caught it up with him a little bit on Sunday. He’s still been a really good find off the waiver wire for fantasy managers. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Blue Jays at home next week.

      Ian Happ went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, run scored, and stolen base on Sunday against the Cardinals.

      Advice: Happ, like the rest of the Cubs, has not been hitting his best of late. He ignited both of their mini rallies in this one, scoring their only run and making Ryan Helsley sweat in the ninth inning.       The Dodgers placed Yamamoto (triceps) on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

      Advice: Yamamoto struck out a batter over two scoreless innings before he was lifted from his start in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Royals after he had experienced tightness in his right tricep while warming up prior to the game. Manager Dave Roberts hinted after the game that Yamamoto was likely to land on the IL, and the Dodgers have made the move official prior to Sunday's series finale. According to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, Roberts suggested that Yamamoto will be sent in for further testing Sunday before an official diagnosis for the injury and a timeline for his return is provided.
