    • Jordan Hicks strikes out eight Mets in no-decision
Jordan Hicks allowed one run with eight strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Hicks allowed just two hits and two walks over five frames on Saturday against the Mets. One of those hits left the yard as Starling Marte took him deep for a solo shot in the second inning. Hicks was otherwise excellent, striking out eight batters on 19 whiffs. His velocity was back up to 95 mph after sitting below 92 mph his last time out. The 27-year-old right-hander has broken out as a starter in San Francisco, posting a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 48/19 K/BB ratio across 58 innings. He lines up for a home matchup against the Yankees on Friday. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:54 pm

    • Locks down 12th save
Iglesias struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Iglesias has converted his last four save chances since a blown save May 3 versus the Dodgers. He's allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over his last six innings, so it hasn't been the smoothest of stretches for the veteran closer. On the year, he's 12-for-14 in save chances with a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB over 19.1 innings. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:13 pm

    • Raisel Iglesias fans two Thursday for 12th save
Raisel Iglesias fired a perfect ninth inning on Thursday against the Cubs to collect his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Iglesias received the call to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 12 pitches (nine strikes) to end it. The 34-year-old veteran stopper has been one of the top closers in the entire fantasy landscape this season, converting 12 of 14 save chances to accompany a solid 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 14/5 K/BB ratio across 19 1/3 innings (20 appearances). • Rejoining rotation
Irvin will re-enter the Orioles' rotation following the injury to John Means (forearm), Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Each of Irvin's last two appearances have come in relief, but he's been terrific in seven starts this season, collecting a 2.90 ERA and 28:8 K:BB over 40.1 innings of work. Means' next turn comes up Monday in Baltimore against the Red Sox, and Irvin would be on regular rest that day after throwing 3.1 relief innings in Wednesday's loss to the Cardinals. • Stuck with loss Wednesday
Irvin (4-2) allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits and struck out two without walking a batter over 3.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Irvin was called upon for a long-relief outing after John Means (elbow) exited following a rain delay. The severity of Means' injury is unknown at this time, but if it requires a stint on the injured list, Irvin has a clear path back to the rotation after making his last two appearances out of the bullpen. Irvin has pitched well this season with a 3.15 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 30:8 K:B over 45.2 innings through nine appearances (seven starts). Means' spot in the rotation is slated for a home start versus the Red Sox next week, and Irvin's appearance Wednesday would put him on schedule to step into that spot, if necessary. • Finds trouble in fifth inning
Pepiot allowed three runs on two hits, four walks and a hit batsman while striking out three over four-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Pepiot returned from a lower left leg contusion that sent him to the injured list. He was cruising through the first four innings, but he put three straight batters on base to begin the fifth. Richard Lovelady couldn't slow down the Boston offense, leaving Pepiot to settle for a no-decision. The 26-year-old right-hander threw just 37 of 66 pitches for strikes in his return from injury. Pepiot now has a 3.98 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB over 40.2 innings across eight starts. It's unclear if his limited workload came from a pitch count or just the natural flow of the game. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Athletics. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:27 pm

    • Ryan Pepiot shaky in return
Ryan Pepiot allowed three earned runs across four innings in his return to the Rays’ rotation. He walked four and struck out three against the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Pepiot had been on the shelf since May 5th after a Starling Marte line drive struck his leg and sent him to the IL. He was cruising early, but unraveled a bit in the fifth inning allowing the first three batters to reach base before being pulled. Both of his inherited runners came around to score. Pepiot leaned on his fastball, throwing it for two thirds of his pitches, and didn’t seem to have the best feel of his slider as the Red Sox swung and missed at it just once. • Works in relief Sunday
Irvin appeared out of the bullpen in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Mariners, collecting his first hold of the season while working around one hit and allowing no walks in two scoreless innings.

Advice: Despite posting a 2.90 ERA while starting in his first seven appearances of the season, Irvin was moved to the bullpen over the weekend while the Orioles were able to get by with a shortened rotation due to off days last Tuesday and Thursday. According to Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun, manager Brandon Hyde suggested that Irvin won't be a regular member of the bullpen moving forward, as the Orioles plan to move back to a six-man rotation while they're now in the midst of a stretch of 30 games in 31 days. Per Jake Rill of MLB.com, Irvin isn't scheduled to start any of the Orioles' remaining five games this week, but the southpaw could re-enter the rotation next week or the week after.
