    • Powers team to win
Morel went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Morel launched his 11th home run of the season and second in the last five games in the sixth inning to spark a Cubs' comeback victory. The 24-year-old has been a bit all or nothing this year as he's batting just .201, but his power potential alone should keep him in Chicago's lineup most days and gives him fantasy upside. He showed that upside last year with 26 long balls in only 388 at-bats. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago
    • Morel hits 11th homer of season vs. White Sox
Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Morel hit his 11th home run of the season in the sixth inning off White Sox reliever Justin Anderson. After putting Bellinger on first via a hit-by-pitch, Anderson hung a breaking ball to Morel, who blasted it 423 feet to deep left-center while cutting the White Sox’s lead to 5-3. In typical feast-or-famine fashion, Morel is now hitting .201 on the year with 16 extra-base hits and 37 RBI. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago
    • Aaron Judge stays hot with two-run double in win
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a two-run double on Tuesday, powering the Yankees to a 5-1 victory over the Twins.

Advice: Judge has shown zero signs of slowing down on the heels of one of the most impressive months of his career to date. The 32-year-old superstar extended New York’s early lead in the third inning of this one by lifting a two-run double down the right-field line off Twins starter Bailey Ober. He’s riding a remarkable 30-game on-base streak and is batting a sublime .402 (41-for-102) with 15 homers and three steals during that span. Unreal. Rotoworld Today, 6:42 pm
    • Gerrit Cole strikes out five on Tuesday at AA
Gerrit Cole (elbow) struck out five over 3 1/3 scoreless innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Double-A Somerset.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Cole will require “at least a few” rehab outings before making his season debut, but he looked extremely sharp in this one. The 33-year-old reigning AL Cy Young Award winner was reportedly sitting in the mid-to-upper 90’s with his fastball and threw 45 pitches (34 strikes). He’ll presumably make another rehab start this weekend and could return to New York’s starting rotation at some point in late June or early July. Rotoworld Today, 4:29 pm

    • Tommy John surgery scheduled
Javier (forearm) is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery Thursday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The right-hander landed on the injured list in late May due to right forearm discomfort and is now set to miss the rest of the 2024 campaign. Javier will also be sidelined until at least the second half of 2025 as he rehabs from the surgery. It's been a rough week for Houston pitchers, as Jose Urquidy (elbow) is also in danger of needing the procedure. Rotowire.com Today, 3:47 pm

    • Cristian Javier to undergo Tommy John surgery
The Athletic’s Chandler Rome reports Cristian Javier will undergo Tommy John surgery.

Advice: It’s a significant hit to Houston’s already razor-thin starting pitching depth as Javier has been a mainstay in their starting rotation for the last three seasons and boasts a stellar 3.59 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 27 percent strikeout rate over 501 innings (116 appearances, 82 starts) in the majors since 2020. Given the timing of the procedure, he’s likely to miss the overwhelming majority of the 2025 campaign as well. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 pm

    • Needs multiple rehab starts
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Cole (elbow) will require "at least a few" minor-league rehab starts before returning from the 60-day injured list, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Cole will make his first rehab start Tuesday with Double-A Somerset and is slated to throw 40-to-50 pitches in that outing. Assuming he adds around 10-to-15 pitches to each of his subsequent rehab starts, the righty would presumably require two additional outings at a minimum after Tuesday's appearance before slotting back into the Yankees rotation. With that in mind, Cole doesn't appear on track to make his 2024 Yankees debut until at least late June, provided he checks out fine physically during his rehab assignment. Cole is working his way back from nerve irritation and edema in his right elbow. Rotowire.com Today, 1:33 pm

    • Cleared for throwing
Gallen (hamstring) will begin a throwing progression Tuesday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Gallen appears to have his sights set on returning from the injured list when first eligible after being diagnosed with a right hamstring strain Friday. This will be a strong first step toward meeting that goal, and he should be cleared to resume mound work quickly considering he last threw off a mound Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:26 pm

    • Rare day off Monday
McMahon is out of the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Reds, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: McMahon will get a breather for just the second time all season as the Rockies open up a three-game set with the Reds. Alan Trejo will receive a start at third base Monday against lefty Andrew Abbott while McMahon rests up. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:56 pm
