    • Chisholm Jr. homers, steals base Monday
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, a double, and a solo home run against the Padres on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Chisholm Jr.’s eighth and the stolen base was his 10th. He’s 27-for-95 (.284) in the month of May and his average is up to .265 on the season with a .792 OPS. Chisholm provided all of the offense for the Marlins as they lost to the Padres 2-1. Rotoworld Monday, 6:26 pm
    • Goes deep in win
Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Cowser had gone 1-for-18 over the previous six games, though he's maintained a starting role in the Orioles' lineup despite the slump. The outfielder burst onto the scene early in the season, but he's batting a poor .185 (12-for-65) with five extra-base hits and six RBI over 21 contests in May. Cowser is up to seven homers, 24 RBI, 17 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .248/.341/.475 slash line through 164 plate appearances. His strikeout rate has also ticked up to 30.5 percent, which makes it tough for him to get back on track. If Cowser's struggles worsen, Kyle Stowers or Austin Hays could be candidates to see more playing time. Rotowire.com May 26, 4:03 pm
    • Homers again Saturday
Steer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: He touched up Walker Buehler in the first inning to give the Reds an early lead. As Mark Sheldon of MLB.com notes, Steer has now gone deep in back-to-back games after entering the series without a homer since May 1 (17 games). His struggles from the middle of the order this month have led the Reds to the cellar in the NL Central, though it's certainly not all his fault. Steer sits with a .227/.341/.403 line with six homers, 35 RBI, 25 runs scored and 11 steals through 50 games this season. Rotowire.com May 26, 1:50 am

    • Spencer Steer homers again as Reds top Dodgers
Spencer Steer homered for the second consecutive game on Saturday, helping to power the Reds to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Dodgers.

Advice: Steer got the scoring started in the opening inning on Saturday, crushing a 362-foot (94.9 mph EV) solo shot off of Walker Buehler. That would wind up being his only hit in four at-bats on the night. On the season, the versatile 26-year-old is slashing .227/.341/.403 with six long balls and 35 RBI. Rotoworld May 25, 6:57 pm

    • Goes yard in Friday's win
Fry went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and two total runs scored in Friday's 10-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Fry has homered five times over his last 13 games, going 14-for-33 (.424) with a 10:6 BB:K in that span. The 28-year-old got a start at catcher versus southpaw Patrick Sandoval in this contest, though manager Stephen Vogt has found room for him in various spots including first base, third base, left field and designated hitter this season. Fry is slashing a stellar .360/.500/.628 with six homers, 19 RBI, 22 runs scored and three stolen bases over 114 plate appearances. Rotowire.com May 24, 10:39 pm

    • Caps rally with homer
Meyers went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Athletics.

Advice: The Astros only scored in the fourth inning Friday, with Meyers providing half of their runs with his homer. The outfielder has three long balls over his last eight games, batting .448 (13-for-29) with nine RBI in that span. On the year, he has a strong .300/.369/.545 slash line with six long balls, 21 RBI, 14 runs scored and two stolen bases through 123 plate appearances. Meyers had some trouble sticking in the lineup early on, but he's operated as a near-everyday option in center field since May 7. As long as he keeps hitting well, he's got a starting job, even with Chas McCormick back in the mix. Rotowire.com May 24, 10:06 pm

    • David Fry stays hot with homer, two hits vs. LAA
David Fry homered while going 2-for-3 in a blowout win over the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Just like we all expected, Fry has been one of the best hitters in the American League this season. You can’t prove we didn’t expect it, anyway. Fry has gone deep six times in his 35 games, and his slash is a borderline unrealistic .360/.500/.628 over that timeframe. Mainly thanks to catcher-eligibility, Fry has to be rostered right now. • Jake Meyers hits three-run homer in win over A’s
Jake Meyers hit a three-run homer to help the Astros to a win over the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: Meyers continues to impress, and his three-run blast is the sixth of the season. The outfielder is now hitting an impressive .300/.369/.545 with 22 RBI over 43 games. There’s no reason to think that Meyers is going to lose playing time soon, even if these numbers are likely unsustainable. Rotoworld May 24, 9:15 pm

    • Knocks fifth home run
Steer went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Steer got the Reds' offense started with a three-run blast in the first inning. He snapped a 17-game homerless drought, during which he'd posted an unsightly .527 OPS. Despite a terrific start to 2024 (1.264 OPS through 11 games), Steer now owns a .227/.343/.390 slash line with 17 extra-base hits through 204 plate appearances. Rotowire.com May 24, 8:06 pm
