Doyle later bagged his team-leading 19th stolen base, marking his fifth straight success since last being caught June 5. The Rockies' leadoff hitter hopes this performance spurs a hot streak, as he entered hitting .235 (19-for-81) with just two extra-base hits -- one homer and one double -- across 22 games in June. Schmidt has been out with a right lat strain and was transferred to the 60-day injured list June 18.       Clarke Schmidt (lat) began playing catch on Monday as he continues to work his way back from a right lat strain.

      Advice: He’s still a long way away from being ready for game action, but it’s nice to see the 28-year-old hurler take a small step in the right direction after being shut down from throwing altogether for nearly a month.
