    • Blasts home run, swipes bag
Contreras went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, three RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Contreras had a monster game against the Nationals, contributing in all facets and extended a hitting streak to six games in Sunday's win. He clubbed his ninth home run of the season and his third in his last six games. The veteran had his first three RBI game of the season and picked up his third stolen base in the process. He's been playing well since returning from the IL and is hitting .299/.399/.529 for the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:12 pm
    • Willson Contreras smacks another home run in win
Willson Contreras went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored, and a stolen base in the Cardinals’ 8-3 win over the Nationals on Sunday.

Advice: Contreras has picked up right where he left off since returning from the IL. His home run was scorched at 108.9 MPH and even his single was sizzled at 105.4 MPH. Few players, let alone catchers, hit the ball as hard and as consistently as Contreras. He’s on pace to put together a huge second half. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:49 pm
    • Taking seat against lefty Sunday
Cruz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Advice: The shortstop was hit by an Edwin Diaz fastball in the ninth inning Saturday, but there's been no indication Cruz sustained a significant injury from being plunked. Even so, the Pirates will give the lefty-hitting Cruz the afternoon off Sunday while southpaw Sean Manaea takes the hill for the Mets. Jared Triolo will check in at shortstop for Cruz, who had started in each of the previous six games while going 8-for-22 with two home runs, one double, three walks, one stolen base, five RBI and three runs. • Receiving Sunday off
Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Phillies.

Advice: Murphy was on the bench for Friday's series opener and will also sit for Sunday's finale after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Saturday's contest. Travis d'Arnaud will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Reynaldo Lopez. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:01 am

    • Serving as DH on Sunday
Greene is serving as the designated hitter and batting fourth in Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Greene will get a day off from playing the outfield, though the Tigers are keeping his hot bat in the lineup. Over his last 10 games, the 23-year-old has a .962 OPS. For the season, Greene has an .863 OPS and 17 home runs, making him a strong fantasy asset thus far. The young star is just starting to tap into his potential and has a ton of upside the rest of the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:55 am

    • Used in eighth frame again Saturday
Phillips (2-0) was charged with a blown save and earned the win against Milwaukee on Saturday. He allowed one run on one hit while striking out one batter over one inning.

Advice: With the Dodgers up 3-2 in the top of the eighth frame, manager Dave Roberts elected to call upon Phillips to face the heart of the Brewers order. The right-hander couldn't protect the lead, giving up a one-out solo homer to Christian Yelich. Phillips did get credited for the win, however, as a result of Los Angeles tallying two runs in the bottom of the frame and Alex Vesia closing things out in the ninth. This was the second time in the past two weeks that Roberts has called upon Phillips before the ninth inning in a high-leverage situation, so it's clear that the team is comfortable using him in that way. Phillips should still get the vast majority of save chances for the Dodgers, though Vesia has five saves on the campaign and is probably the leading candidate for ninth-inning duties when Phillips is either unavailable or deployed earlier in a contest. • Carries offense in loss
Diaz went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double and a three-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: His seventh-inning shot off Jacob Latz gave the Rays a brief lead, but the bullpen immediately squandered it in the bottom of the frame. Four of Diaz's eight homers on the season have come in his last 14 games, a stretch in which he's slashing .311/.344/.574 with four doubles and 12 RBI -- although curiously, the only runs he's scored during that time have come on his own home runs, despite the fact that he's consistently batting leadoff for Tampa Bay. • Cruz blasts 13th home run in loss to Mets Saturday
Oneil Cruz went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz’ home run was his 13th of the season. He hit a two-run shot off David Peterson in the second inning. Cruz was hitting just .145 with two home runs in 76 at-bats against left-handed pitching entering Saturday. He’s hitting .244 with a .737 OPS and 39 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:34 pm

    • Padres place Yu Darvish on restricted list
Padres placed RHP Yu Darvish on the restricted list.

Advice: Padres’ manager Mike Shildt told reporters on Saturday that Darvish is dealing with a personal matter involving his family but wouldn’t elaborate. It’s not clear how long he’ll be away from the team for. The 37-year-old hurler is battling elbow inflammation in addition to his strained groin. Once he’s back with the club and ready physically, he’s likely to need at least a couple of rehab starts before he’s ready to return to action. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:29 pm
