• Leody Taveras has two hits, SB in win
Leody Taveras went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a steal in a 4-0 win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: It was a much-needed strong start for Taveras, who is hitting just .215/.280/.329 on the season and is at risk of losing his job when Evan Carter is eligible to return from the IL. Taveras now has seven steals on the season and has gone 4-for-16 in his last four games. He’ll need more than that to keep his playing time during the second half of the season. • Crushes homer in loss
Ozuna went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Ozuna opened the scoring with his first-inning homer. He's up to 21 long balls on the year, and he's hit five of them while batting .315 (23-for-73) over 19 contests in June. That's right on track with where he's been all year -- the 33-year-old is hitting .312 with a .986 OPS, 64 RBI, 45 runs scored and no stolen bases over 74 games this season while maintaining his usual spot in the heart of Atlanta's order. • Best game of season
McCormick went 3-for-3 with a pair of solo home runs, a stolen base and three total runs scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Orioles.

Advice: McCormick got a rare start versus a right-hander -- his second in the last three games -- and he made it count by taking Corbin Burnes deep in the fifth inning. All three of McCormick's homers this year have come within his last five games, and he's added six RBI and six runs scored in that span. Overall, he's posted a mediocre .225/.286/.358 slash line with 15 RBI, 15 runs scored and three stolen bases across 133 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:03 pm

  • Chas McCormick homers twice in win over Orioles
Chas McCormick homered twice to help the Astros to a 5-1 win over the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: McCormick also singled and scored three times in the contest. His last homer may have earned the ire of those who roster Josh Hader, as it made it a 5-1 game and took away a save chance for Hader. McCormick has dealt with injuries, but more games like this will (obviously) give him a good chance of getting more playing time going forward. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:30 pm

  • Homers in return to lineup
Jones went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: Jones was out of the starting nine for two games with an illness, but he returned to the lineup and hit sixth Friday. He tallied his second home run of the season and has seven hits across 18 at-bats with only three strikeouts since being activated from the injured list June 14. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:48 pm

  • Clubs homer Friday
Castro went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and two total runs scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Castro logged his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games, with the lone exception being Thursday when he started the game on the bench. Batting .290 (20-for-69) in June, Castro has been impressive for the Twins, and it hasn't been just an empty average. He has nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and 13 runs scored over 19 contests this month. For the season, he's posted a .272/.357/.444 slash line with six homers, 24 RBI, 43 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a career-high 19 doubles through 76 games. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:30 pm

  • Nolan Jones (illness) returns to lineup on Friday
Nolan Jones (illness) returned to the Rockies’ starting lineup for Friday’s series opener against the Nationals.

Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old outfielder missed each of the team’s previous two games due to illness, but he’s right back out there in left field on Friday night. Jones will bat sixth against DJ Herz and the Nationals on Friday evening at Coors Field. Rotoworld Friday, 1:45 pm

  • Back from illness
Jones (illness) will start in left field and bat sixth in Friday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Jones missed two contests because he was under the weather, but he'll give it a go Friday. The 26-year-old is 5-for-14 with a 2:8 K:BB over six games since returning from the injured list. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:43 pm

  • Nolan Jones (illness) remains out of the lineup
Nolan Jones (illness) is not in the Rockies lineup on Thursday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Jones will miss his second straight game with an illness as Sean Bouchard fills in for him in left field and bats second. Jones has looked better since coming off the IL, going 5-for-13 (.385) with one stolen base and just two strikeouts to eight walks. The plate discipline improvements are really nice to see and there might still be a buy low window here before he returns to the lineup from this bout of sickness. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:00 pm
