  • Goes seven innings in win
Webb (7-6) allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six over seven innings to earn the win over Atlanta on Thursday.

Advice: Webb gave up both runs on three hits and a sacrifice fly in the first inning, then settled in to produce a strong start by not allowing a runner past second base for the next six frames. He's gone seven innings in six of his last eight starts as he continues to be an innings-eater at the top of the Giants' rotation. For the season, Webb has a 3.09 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 103:27 K:BB over 119.1 innings through 19 starts. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Blue Jays. Henderson went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and a double in Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Mariners.

  • Gunnar Henderson crushes 27th homer in O’s loss
Gunnar Henderson went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer on Thursday in the Orioles’ loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Henderson was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle by the fifth inning of this one as he continues to build a credible American League MVP Award resume heading towards his first All-Star Game appearance in a few weeks. The 23-year-old emerging franchise cornerstone took Mariners starter Bryce Miller deep in the third inning for his 27th round-tripper of the season and finished with his ninth three-hit performance of the first half. He’s batting an absurd .344 (42-for-122) with nine homers and six steals over his last 30 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:07 pm

  • Rafael Devers walks three times, drives in two
Rafael Devers drove in two runs while walking three times in a victory over the Marlins in extra-innings Thursday.

Advice: Hard to drive in runs without getting a hit, but Devers is capable of doing anything he set his mind to. He drove in both runs on fielder’s choices. All three of the walks were intentional, which is not something you see too often in 2024, or any year really. He’s now hitting .288/.375/.568 on the season with 51 RBI. • Return before break not ruled out
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Thursday that Realmuto (knee) is working out at 70-to-75 percent intensity, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Realmuto is three weeks removed from right meniscus surgery and is progressing nicely. The club is not ruling out a return for their starting catcher prior to the All-Star break if he proves to be ready by then, but it's probably more likely that Realmuto is held out until the start of the second half. • Dazzles in return to mound
Kremer (4-4) picked up the win over the Mariners on Wednesday, allowing two hits and two walks over five shutout innings while striking out eight.

Advice: Kremer was fantastic in his return from a triceps strain, striking out six of the first 12 batters he faced while inducing 16 swings-and-misses in total. He came through in his first start back from the injured list and lowered his season ERA from 4.32 to 3.93 with the shutout performance. Kremer has now fanned at least six batters in three of his last four starts, dating back to May 5 against the Reds. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:21 am
