  • Ryne Nelson excels in no-decision vs. Dodgers
    Ryne Nelson delivered a strong performance in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Tuesday, giving up just one run on six hits over his five frames.

    Advice: Nelson struck out three batters on the night while allowing one base on balls. He took over in the first inning after Joe Mantiply recorded the first two outs and left a runner at second base. Nelson allowed that inherited runner to score, but escaped the inning unscathed otherwise. The lone run charged to him came as Teoscar Hernandez grounded into a fielder’s choice in the third inning. Nelson got six whiffs on 78 pitches on the night, posting a miserable CSW of only 18 percent.   • Goes five innings in no-decision
    Miller allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: Miller was responsible for a game-tying two-run home run by Christian Walker in the fourth inning. This was Miller's third start since he returned from shoulder inflammation, but he's given up 10 runs over 13.1 innings with a 7:9 K:BB across those outings. Overall, he's at a 6.12 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB through 25 innings over six starts this season. Miller is still likely trying to find a rhythm after a two-month absence. With his next start projected to be against either Milwaukee or Philadelphia -- the other two National League division leaders besides the Dodgers -- fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach with Miller in the short term.   • Zach Littell defeats Royals to earn third victory
    Zach Littell picked up his third victory of the season on Tuesday evening, scattering four hits over five shutout innings against the Royals.

    Advice: Littell punched out four batters on the night and didn’t walk a batter. He needed just 68 pitches (49 strikes) to get through five frames — and he would’ve likely worked deeper into the game had it not been for a lengthy rain delay after the fifth inning. The 28-year-old righty got eight whiffs on the night, registering a strong CSW of 34 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he brings a 3.94 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and an 86/16 K/BB ratio (91 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Rangers in Arlington.     Keuchel didn't factor in the decision for Tuesday's 4-3 win at Colorado after he allowed two runs on four hits and two walks across 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

    Advice: The veteran left-hander struggled in the second inning as he surrendered two runs on a homer, a triple and a sacrifice fly, but he otherwise kept the Rockies off the board. It was a nice rebound for Keuchel in a hitter-friendly park after he gave up five earned runs in his Brewers debut last week.     Feltner didn't factor in the decision in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers after he gave up one run on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out three.

    Advice: The right-hander certainly wasn't dominant as he generated only seven whiffs on 83 pitches, but he limited Milwaukee to just a single tally in the second inning. Feltner has now gone at least five frames in each of his past five starts, and he has a 4.18 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB across 28 innings during that stretch.     Soriano (4-6) allowed four runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four over four innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Athletics.

    Advice: Soriano missed the minimum time on the injured list due to an abdominal infection. He cruised through the Athletics' order the first time, but he had less fortune the second time around, as Brent Rooker hit a solo shot and Lawrence Butler added a three-run home run. Soriano threw just 62 pitches (39 strikes) in the outing, so he may still be building up to full strength. For the year, he's at a 3.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 64:29 K:BB through 76.1 innings this year.     Brady Singer pitched well in a losing effort against the Rays on Tuesday night, allowing one run on three hits over his five frames.

    Advice: Singer also issued three walks on a rainy evening in Kansas City while punching out four opposing hitters. The only run that scored against him came in the second inning as Richie Palacios scampered home on a wild pitch with two outs in the inning. The 27-year-old right-hander got 15 swings and misses on 88 pitches on the night — 10 of those on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 32 percent. He’ll try to get back in the win column as he carries a 3.05 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and an 89/29 K/BB ratio (94 1/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Rockies at Coors Field on Sunday.   • Blows save versus Milwaukee
    Mears (1-4) was tagged with the loss and a blown save after he allowed two runs on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning Tuesday against the Brewers.

    Advice: Mears didn't give up hard contact as the two hits against him were infield singles, but he was unable to get through the frame on 39 pitches. It's the second blown save of the season for the right-hander, who remains without a save but has seven holds to go along with an ugly 6.28 ERA.   • Craig Kimbrel slams door on Mariners on Tuesday
    Craig Kimbrel slammed the door on the Mariners on Tuesday night, retiring all three hitters that he faced in the ninth inning to preserve a two-run advantage.

    Advice: It wasn’t the smoothest of innings for Kimbrel, as he plunked Luke Raley to start the frame and also hit Jorge Polanco with one out in the inning, but he rebounded to get Dominic Canzone on a ground out to first and Julio Rodriguez on strikes to end it. Aside from a small blip early in the season, Kimbrel has been exceptional in the ninth inning for the Orioles this season.
