Triple-A Norfolk reinstated Holliday (elbow) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: As part of his recovery, Holliday will serve exclusively as a designated hitter for multiple weeks and refrain from throwing. The 20-year-old hasn't seen any big-league action since April and is slashing .259/.424/.455 with seven home runs and five steals over 245 plate appearances with Norfolk. • Jackson Holliday (elbow) returns off injured list
Oriole INF prospect Jackson Holliday was reinstated off the seven-day injured list by Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: Holliday missed 10 days while dealing with inflammation in his elbow. The 20-year-old top prospect will be back in the lineup, but only as a designated hitter for the time being. If Holliday performs well, he still has a chance to return to Baltimore before the 2024 season comes to an end. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:06 am

  • Swipes bag in loss
Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Hoerner hasn't hit all that well in June (.194), but he's logged six steals over 19 contests this month. The infielder is up to 12 thefts on 14 attempts for the season, providing speed atop the Cubs' lineup. He's added a .241/.331/.327 slash line with two home runs, 18 RBI, 36 runs scored, 14 doubles and a triple over 70 contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:08 pm

  • Carlos Correa picks up three knocks in victory
Carlos Correa went 3-for-6 with an RBI and run scored in a blowout win over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Correa had three of the Twins’ 16 hits on a day where Minnesota dominated from start to finish. The 29-year-old has been spectacular in the month of June, and this makes six games with at least three hits in that period. A .308/.369/.498 slash is fantastic, but Correa has somehow been considerably better as of late than that line suggests. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:02 pm
  • Taking seat Thursday
Correa is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.

Advice: After seeing his nine-game hitting streak come to an end with an 0-for-5 performance in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning loss, Correa will get a breather for the series finale with Tampa Bay. Kyle Farmer will spell him at shortstop Thursday. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:17 am
