    • Travis Hafner (shoulder) returned to the Yankees' lineup Saturday.
Advice: Hafner was available to pinch-hit Friday, but didn't start against left-hander Mark Buehrle. He returns after missing the last four games with shoulder tendinitis. With Curtis Granderson now healthy, the Yankees will go with a committee of Hafner and Vernon Wells at designated hitter. Hafner is batting .260/.383/.510 this season.

    • Travis Hafner (shoulder) says he's available to pinch-hit Friday.
Advice: Hafner hasn't played since Monday due to shoulder tendinitis, but he was encouraged after a batting practice session Thursday. He likely would have started against a right-hander, but southpaw Mark Buehrle is on the hill for the Blue Jays. Perhaps he'll be back in there Saturday against Brandon Morrow.

    • Travis Hafner will undergo an MRI on his right shoulder.
Advice: Hafner has been experiencing shoulder soreness recently, so he's going to rest for a few days and try to get some answers. The 35-year-old has a lengthy injury history, so the Yankees will be cautious. Fortunately, the Yankees can plug Vernon Wells in at DH now that Curtis Granderson (forearm) is back from the disabled list.

Advice: Poor C.J. Wilson got matched up with Sale for the second time in six days and took another tough loss. Sale allowed just four hits and struck out 19 while pitching 16 2/3 scoreless innings over the course of the two outings. He's allowed one run in 24 career innings against the Angels.

Advice: Sale admitted that he's feeling it a little, but fortunately he still has multiple days to get well. The 24-year-old southpaw tossed a one-hit shutout Sunday night against the Angels and holds a 2.88 ERA and 49/12 K/BB ratio in 56 1/3 innings over eight starts this season.

    • Despite taking a comebacker off his pitching hand, Drew Storen pitched a scoreless 10th inning Friday against the Padres for his first save.
Advice: Aided by a Ryan Zimmerman throwing error, Rafael Soriano took a blown save in the ninth. Storen got his chance in the 10th after a Chad Tracy homer and got the job done, though not before allowing a couple of singles. The first of those was a hard shot up the middle that deflected off his pitching hand. Storen, though, remained in after a couple of warmups. His ERA sits at 4.41 currently, and he's no threat to Soriano's job as is.

    • Curtis Granderson is starting in right field Saturday against the Blue Jays.
Advice: It's Granderson's first career start in right field. With Ichiro Suzuki struggling, the Yankees are looking for ways to get Granderson, Vernon Wells and Travis Hafner in the lineup against right-handed pitching. Advice: Granderson will bat cleanup and start in left field in his return Tuesday night. This will be his first game action in left field since 2007, when he was a member of the Tigers. Brett Gardner will stick in center field. Granderson batted .400 (8-for-20) with one home run and three RBI in five rehab games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and didn't have any issues with his once-fractured forearm. Make sure to activate him in fantasy leagues.

    • Jorge De La Rosa was tagged for five runs in five innings Friday in a win over the Giants.
Advice: De La Rosa gave up nine hits and one walk and only registered one strikeout. It was quite a contrast for the southpaw, as he entered Friday's outing with a 14-inning scoreless streak and 12 scoreless frames at Coors Field this season. Still, the Rockies' offense powered him to the victory. De La Rosa is 5-3 with a 3.58 ERA through nine starts this season, but he needs more strikeouts to be interesting again in fantasy leagues.

Advice: Bumgarner blew leads of 4-0 and 5-4, including a grand slam by Jordan Pacheco in a five-run fifth inning. The seven earned runs allowed were a season-high and fell one short of his career-high. The southpaw struck out four and walked a pair in the loss. Advice: The Reds need to clear a rotation spot with Johnny Cueto set to return from the disabled list Monday, so Cingrani will officially be sent down. He was mostly impressive over his first six major league starts, posting a 3.27 ERA, nine walks and 41 strikeouts over 33 innings. • Tony Cingrani yielded three runs in five innings Friday in a no-decision against the Phillies.
Advice: Following his recent bout of shoulder soreness, Cingrani needed 100 pitches to complete the five frames. After posting a 1.50 ERA over his first three starts in the majors, the southpaw has allowed nine runs in 15 innings over his last three starts and has served up five homers in the process.
