    • Starts at third base
Alexander started at third base and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Alexander had one of the two productive run-producing outs in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Diamondbacks reclaimed a lead they lost in the top half of the frame. He started for the fourth time in the last eight games, and it was his first start at third base. After a spell as the regular fill-in for Geraldo Perdomo (knee) at shortstop, Alexander has taken a back seat to Kevin Newman. With recent news coming out that Perdomo is expected back in two weeks, Alexander could be moving down to the minors in early June. Rotowire.com Today, 4:23 am
    • Pitches well versus Reds
Knack did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Reds, allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Knack tossed four shutout frames before the Reds tacked on a run in the fifth after back-to-back doubles. Knack tied his season-high in strikeouts despite not reach five innings for the first time in four starts and registered a 35% CSW% on 64 pitches. He lowered his ERA to 2.61, which is the lowest of any Dodgers pitchers with multiple starts this season. It's likely he'll head back down to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday but would likely be the leading candidate for another call up if a full-time opening in the rotation opened up. • Finds power in win
Pages went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Reds.

Advice: Pages crushed a two-run shot off of Hunter Greene in the fourth to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. Pages has now tallied a hit in each of his last four games after a 10-game stretch from May 5-May 15 during which he hit just .114 with a 42.5 percent strikeout rate. Despite the mini slump, Pages survived a flurry of roster changes made by the Dodgers over the weekend and was hitting fifth in Sunday's win, showing the confidence manager Dave Roberts has in him. He's now slashing .265/.301/.451 with five homers, 16 RBI, 18 runs and a 4:34 BB:K in 123 plate appearances. His .752 OPS is also third among NL rookies with at least 100 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 3:28 am

    • Pummeled by San Diego
Elder (1-2) took the loss Sunday against the Padres, allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and three walks while striking out three over three innings.

Advice: The Padres put up a quick three runs on Elder in the first inning, all with two outs, highlighted by a two-run blast by Jake Cronenworth. Elder held them scoreless for the next two frames but ran into more issues in the fourth, allowing four straight hits and three more runs to begin the inning before he got pulled. Sunday was the second time in his last three starts he's failed to reach four innings, both of which he's given up seven runs and walked at least three batters. For the year, Elder owns a troublesome 6.46 ERA, 1.94 WHIP and 19:11 K:BB in 23.2 innings and currently lines up to face the Pirates his next time on the mound. Rotowire.com Today, 3:19 am

    • Adds another steal Sunday
Mateo went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Mateo has a steal in each of the last two games, giving him seven thefts on the year. The infielder has gone 11-for-42 (.262) over 14 games in May, lifting his season slash line to .259/.299/.457 over 89 plate appearances. Sunday was the first time in four contests he didn't record an extra-base hit, though there typically isn't an abundance of power in his game. Mateo should continue to occupy a starting role at second base as long as he's hitting well. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:34 pm

    • Smacks homer in win
O'Hearn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: O'Hearn had gone nine games without an extra-base hit, hitting .240 (6-for-25) with three RBI in that span. The 30-year-old broke his power drought with a third-inning homer off Mariners starter George Kirby to give the Orioles a 4-1 lead. O'Hearn is up to six homers, 15 RBI, 15 runs scored and a .288/.368/.510 slash line through 33 contests in a strong-side platoon role while seeing time at designated hitter and first base and in the corner outfield spots. • Bryce Elder knocked around in loss to Padres
Bryce Elder was knocked around in Sunday night’s loss to the Padres, giving up seven runs (six earned) on nine hits over his three-plus innings of work.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander also issued three walks on the night while punching out three. After getting the first two outs in the opening inning, the Padres struck for three runs with two outs, including a two-run blast by Jake Cronenworth. Elder seemed to settle in a bit after that, but allowed four straight hits to start the fourth inning before turning the ball over to the bullpen. He got just eight swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night — six on his slider — while posting a CSW of 23 percent. He’ll carry a troublesome 6.46 ERA and 1.94 WHIP into Friday’s start against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:04 pm

    • Slade Cecconi to work after opener on Monday
Slade Cecconi will work behind an opener when he takes on the Dodgers on Monday evening in Los Angeles.

Advice: Diamondbacks’ skipper Torey Lovullo told reporters after Sunday’s win over the Tigers that Joe Mantiply will serve as the opener on Monday — giving him a chance to face both Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman in the opening inning. Not that Cecconi is a recommended streaming option against the Dodgers, but his chances of earning a victory do improve slightly working as the bulk guy out of the bullpen rather than starting. • Landon Knack is solid in spot start
Landon Knack allowed one run on three hits over 4 2/3 in a no-decision against the Reds.

Advice: Knack also struck out five and walked one on the day. He was called on for a spot start with the Dodgers wanting to push Yoshinobu Yamamoto back to Monday. Knack delivered with a 36 percent whiff rate and 31 percent CSW. His four-seam and curveball carved up the Reds all afternoon, and he now has a 2.61 ERA on the year. He’ll likely head back to Triple-A, but if there is ever a full-time opening in the Dodgers’ rotation, Knack would certainly be worth an add. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:09 pm
