    Advice: Ramirez reached on a fielder's choice in the fifth inning and picked up his first steal of the campaign on his first attempt. The third baseman isn't the fastest player, but he tends to be opportunistic on the basepaths. He has at least 20 steals in each of the last five full campaigns, including going 28-for-34 on his stolen base attempts in 2023. His four-game hitting streak came to a close Thursday, and he's batting a modest .238 with three home runs, 16 RBI, 14 runs scored, three doubles and a triple of 19 contests. The 31-year-old has had no trouble depositing baseballs over the fence in 2024, as he’s up to five homers with the roundtripper and is now slugging .568 over 74 at-bats.     Advice: It was a strong bounce-back effort from Pepiot after he allowed five runs in a loss to San Francisco in his last start. The right-hander blanked the Angels through five innings Thursday, ultimately allowing a lone run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth. It's been a mixed bag for Pepiot result-wise through four starts this year, though his underlying metrics are impressive.     Amed Rosario went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI against the Angels on Thursday.

    Advice: Rosario plated Richie Palacios with his triple in the first inning off Griffin Canning to give Tampa Bay a 1-0 cushion. The three-bagger comes a day after Rosario blasted a two-run homer, and the former top prospect has been swinging the bat well to begin the 2024 campaign as seen in his .339 average and .532 slugging mark.     Ryan Pepiot held the Angels to one run over six innings with seven strikeouts Thursday while picking up a win.

    Advice: Pepiot did walk three, but he allowed only three hits and was able to limit the damage sans a sacrifice fly from Miguel Sano in the sixth. This was a much better effort for the 26-year-old than his struggles Saturday against the Giants, and he’s allowed just a run in two of his last three efforts.     Witt went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in a 4-2 win over the White Sox in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader.

    Advice: Witt also went 1-for-4 in the nightcap. He's hit safely in five of the last seven games, batting .333 (10-for-30) in that span. The shortstop is off to another strong start in 2024 with a .321/.369/.628 slash line, four home runs, four steals, eight RBI, 18 runs scored, six doubles and three triples across 84 plate appearances.
