• Records first steal of season
Ramirez went 0-for-4 with one RBI and one stolen base in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Ramirez reached on a fielder's choice in the fifth inning and picked up his first steal of the campaign on his first attempt. The third baseman isn't the fastest player, but he tends to be opportunistic on the basepaths. He has at least 20 steals in each of the last five full campaigns, including going 28-for-34 on his stolen base attempts in 2023. His four-game hitting streak came to a close Thursday, and he's batting a modest .238 with three home runs, 16 RBI, 14 runs scored, three doubles and a triple of 19 contests. • Launches homer in win
Heim went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 9-7 win over Detroit.

Advice: Heim extended a hit streak to six games with a second-inning homer to put the Rangers up, 4-0. The catcher has launched three home runs with 15 RBI (third on team) over 17 games. Heim's batting .348 (8-for-23) with runners in scoring position. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:19 pm
  • Homers Thursday
Garcia went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 9-7 win over Detroit.

Advice: Garcia put the Rangers ahead 5-4 in the third inning, blasting a solo shot off Kenta Maeda, his fifth of the year. Garcia had cooled off a bit after a torrid start this season, going 2-for-12 in four games prior to Thursday's contest. The 31-year-old outfielder is now slashing .311/.361/.568 with 18 RBI, 14 runs scored and four steals through his first 20 games on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:45 pm
  • Adolis García swats fifth homer of year vs. Tigers
Adolis García went 2-for-5 while homering in a victory over the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: García swatted a solo homer in the third inning of Kenta Maeda to give the Rangers a 5-4 lead. The 31-year-old has had no trouble depositing baseballs over the fence in 2024, as he’s up to five homers with the roundtripper and is now slugging .568 over 74 at-bats. Those betting on regression from García have been sorely mistaken over the first month of the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:21 pm
  • Sharp in second win
Pepiot (2-2) earned the win against the Angels on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: It was a strong bounce-back effort from Pepiot after he allowed five runs in a loss to San Francisco in his last start. The right-hander blanked the Angels through five innings Thursday, ultimately allowing a lone run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth. It's been a mixed bag for Pepiot result-wise through four starts this year, though his underlying metrics are impressive. He lowered his ERA to 4.37 with an encouraging 1.01 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB across 22.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:10 pm

  • Amed Rosario triples in victory over Angels
Amed Rosario went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI against the Angels on Thursday.

Advice: Rosario plated Richie Palacios with his triple in the first inning off Griffin Canning to give Tampa Bay a 1-0 cushion. The three-bagger comes a day after Rosario blasted a two-run homer, and the former top prospect has been swinging the bat well to begin the 2024 campaign as seen in his .339 average and .532 slugging mark. Rosario has been streaky throughout his career, and he appears to be on the right side of that line to begin 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:37 pm

  • Ryan Pepiot holds Angels to one run in victory
Ryan Pepiot held the Angels to one run over six innings with seven strikeouts Thursday while picking up a win.

Advice: Pepiot did walk three, but he allowed only three hits and was able to limit the damage sans a sacrifice fly from Miguel Sano in the sixth. This was a much better effort for the 26-year-old than his struggles Saturday against the Giants, and he’s allowed just a run in two of his last three efforts. Pepiot’s shaky command offers volatility, but his swing-and-miss stuff brings reward with the risk. He gets the Tigers next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:37 pm

  • Notches fourth steal
Witt went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in a 4-2 win over the White Sox in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Advice: Witt also went 1-for-4 in the nightcap. He's hit safely in five of the last seven games, batting .333 (10-for-30) in that span. The shortstop is off to another strong start in 2024 with a .321/.369/.628 slash line, four home runs, four steals, eight RBI, 18 runs scored, six doubles and three triples across 84 plate appearances. He's also striking out at a 22.6 percent clip, a bit higher than the 17.4 percent mark he had last year, but that's a fair trade-off for more contact. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 am
  • Smacks fifth homer
Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: He drove the second big-league pitch of Landon Knack's career over the fence in right-center field, giving the Nats all the offense they would need as Jake Irvin and the bullpen combined for a shutout. Abrams launched a career-high 18 homers in 2023 but is well ahead of that pace to begin this season, slashing .295/.358/.656 with five home runs, three steals, 10 runs and 11 RBI in 15 games.
