    • Eloy Jiménez homers, drives in three vs. Twins
Eloy Jiménez went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

Advice: Jiménez got the scoring started for the lowly White Sox in the fourth inning when he got the best of Pablo López and sent a 417-foot blast into the left-field stands to put his team up 3-1. As has been the case for many White Sox players, Jiménez has largely underwhelmed to start the season. He entered the day batting .176, and Tuesday’s homer marks just his second of the season. He’s hard to trust as anything more than a desperation play until his bat heats up. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:33 pm
    • Gausman allows zero earned runs in loss to Royals
Kevin Gausman struck out two batters over 6 2/3 innings in the Blue Jays’ 3-2 loss to the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Gausman was solid through six innings but was burnt by a three-run fifth in which he was charged with zero of the three runs the Royals drove in. Despite getting saddled with the loss, Tuesday’s outing was arguably the best of the year for Gausman. In addition to not allowing an earned run, his 6 2/3 innings pitched also marked a season-high. Gausman allowed 12 earned runs through his first three starts but has allowed only one in his last two games. Hopefully, rounding into form, he’ll look to turn in another strong outing on Sunday against the Dodgers and get off this 0-3 start. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 pm
    • Sits versus southpaw
Outman is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game at Washington, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: Outman has started just once against a left-handed pitcher this season, so it's not a surprise he's on the bench Tuesday as southpaw Patrick Corbin pitches for the Nationals. Andy Pages will shift to center field while Enrique Hernandez and Teoscar Hernandez handle the corner outfield spots. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:48 pm
    • Lifts second homer
Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Goldschmidt's slow start has been the cause of much consternation for St. Louis, and it's led to him batting fifth in the last two games. He's gone 3-for-7 since the drop in the order, so it looks like the change is at least having a short-term effect. The first baseman is batting a meager .195 with a .566 OPS, two homers, nine RBI and eight runs scored over 94 plate appearances. Goldschmidt's track record will give him a lot of leeway to work out of his struggles, but it's possible that the 36-year-old may be starting to feel his age as well. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:07 am
    • Paul Goldschmidt hits second homer in Cards’ win
Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with his second home run of the season on Monday in the Cardinals’ win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Goldschmidt snapped a 20-game homerless drought with a game-tying solo shot off Arizona reliever Scott McGough in the seventh inning. It was his first round-tripper since Opening Day back on March 28. The 36-year-old veteran first baseman is batting just .195 (16-for-82) with eight runs scored, two homers and nine RBI through 22 games. It’s not what you want. Rotoworld Monday, 7:37 pm
    • Bryan Woo (elbow) throws three scoreless in AAA
Bryan Woo (elbow) hurled three scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a rehab start for Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

Advice: Woo didn’t allow a hit and didn’t give up a walk. The right-hander was back on the mound for the first time since he was placed on the injured list just before Opening Day with elbow inflammation. The right-hander will need to make at least one more rehab start as he builds up his stamina, but this is obviously a step in the right direction. Rotoworld Monday, 5:01 pm

    • Terrific in first rehab start
Woo (elbow) struck out five over three perfect innings in his first rehab start with Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

Advice: Woo needed just 35 pitches to cruise through his three frames in a difficult pitching environment in Las Vegas. The velocity on his four-seamer was down a bit at 93.9 miles per hour, but that's not overly concerning considering it was his first game action in more than a month. Woo is in line for multiple rehab starts but could be ready to rejoin the Mariners rotation by early May. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:29 am

    • Two doubles Sunday
Freeman went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 10-0 win over the Mets.

Advice: Freeman doubled his first time up and then doubled home two runs as part of an eight-run fifth inning for the Dodgers. He's now reached base six times in the last two games and has five RBI over that span. The 34-year-old is hitting .287/.406/.391 with a home run, 13 RBI, 12 runs and a 15:20 BB:K in 106 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:02 am
    • Tallies first homer
Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Jimenez tallied his first RBI of the season Saturday and then proceeded to smack his first home run of the campaign in the opening frame of Sunday's contest. He has been sidelined for much of the season by an adductor injury but is showing signs of getting on track at the plate for the first time. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:33 pm
