    • Tallies two extra-base hits
Greene went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 9-7 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: While Greene's batting average is still a bit underwhelming at .239, his .849 OPS is stronger due to eight extra-base knocks through 19 games. In fact, exactly half of the outfielder's hits have gone for extra bases so far. Greene is heating up, and with his ability to leg out doubles or hit the ball over the wall, he should be primed for good numbers the rest of the way. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:56 pm
    • Brandon Drury (hamstring) pinch-hits on Thursday
Brandon Drury (hamstring) grounded out as a pinch-hitter on Thursday in the Angels’ loss to the Rays.

Advice: Drury was held out of the lineup for the third consecutive contest due to ongoing left hamstring tightness, but was able to come off the bench in the ninth inning of this one. The 31-year-old infielder remains day-to-day for now and should be a full-go in a couple days, if not sooner. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:51 pm

    • Getting breather Thursday
Paredes is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Paredes will get his second day off of the season after starting in 18 of the Rays' first 19 contests. With Paredes on the bench Thursday, Curtis Mead will pick up a start at third base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:54 am

    • Brandon Drury held out of lineup again Wednesday
Brandon Drury (hamstring) was held out of the Angels’ starting lineup once again on Wednesday.

Advice: Angels’ skipper Ron Washington told reporters that Drury won’t start on Thursday either and will be limited to pinch-hitting duties, as they’re trying to protect his hamstring injury from the turf at Tropicana Field. Look for Luis Rengifo to continue to cover second base in his absence. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:05 pm

    • Up to seven saves
Finnegan earned the save in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Dodgers, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Finnegan's now gone seven straight appearances (6.2 innings) without allowing an earned run. He's up to seven saves on the year, tying Ryan Helsley and Clay Holmes for the league lead. The 32-year-old Finnegan lowered his ERA to 3.24 with a 1.32 WHIP and 8:5 K:BB through his first 8.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:55 pm

    • Won't start Wednesday, Thursday
Drury won't start and will only be available to pinch hit Wednesday and Thursday against the Rays due to left hamstring tightness, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Drury may still be used as supplementary help with batting, but he will miss his third straight start come Thursday. Though his ability to still pinch hit if necessary is encouraging, the Angels are being cautious with the 31-year-old's hamstring issue, and it is still unknown if he will return to the field Friday against the Reds. • Kyle Finnegan quiets Dodgers to net seventh save
Kyle Finnegan fired a perfect ninth inning on Wednesday against the Dodgers to record his seventh save of the season.

Advice: Finnegan was summoned to protect a two-run margin in the final frame and needed just 13 pitches (10 strikes) to slam the door. He got Will Smith to ground out and coaxed a harmless fly out from Max Muncy before fanning Teoscar Hernández to end the contest. He’s converted seven of his eight save opportunities this season to go along with a respectable 3.24 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 8/5 K/BB ratio across 8 1/3 innings (nine appearances). • Out again Wednesday
Drury (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Tampa Bay, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Advice: Drury will miss a second straight start with a hamstring issue. He declared himself available to play off the bench Tuesday, so it would seem fair to call Drury day-to-day. The Angels will deploy Luis Rengifo at second base and Nolan Schanuel at first base Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:45 pm

    • D-backs transfer Eduardo Rodriguez to 60-day IL
Diamondbacks transferred LHP Eduardo Rodriguez to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: It’s a tough blow for Rodriguez, who was apparently ahead of schedule at the start of the regular season, but now he’s likely to miss the next several months as he works to get healthy again. The 31-year-old signed a four-year, $80 million contract with Arizona after a solid season with Detroit in 2023. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:29 am
