    • Gavin Stone fans six in victory over Rockies
      Gavin Stone was terrific in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Rockies, racking up six strikeouts over five innings of shutout baseball.

      Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander scattered four hits and a pair of walks on the day. He needed just 75 pitches (53 strikes) to navigate his five frames before turning the ball over to one of the best bullpens in all of baseball. Stone got 15 swings and misses in the ballgame — nine on his slider — while registering a CSW of 31 percent. He has been outstanding for the Dodgers this season, posting a 6-2 record, 2.90 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 47/19 K/BB ratio over 62 innings through his first 11 starts.       Stone (6-2) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out six over five shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Rockies.

      Advice: Stone has blanked the Mets and the Rockies over 12 innings across his last two starts. He had a 3.60 ERA as of May 21, but it's down to 2.90 with a 1.19 WHIP and 47:19 K:BB through 62 innings after his pair of scoreless outings.       Haniger is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

      Advice: Haniger will take a seat for the series finale after he had started each of the last seven games in right field or at designated hitter while going 6-for-24 with one extra-base hit (a double) and two walks. Despite the recent uptick in playing time, Haniger still looks to be behind lefty hitters Dominic Canzone and Luke Raley for reps in the corner outfield when the Mariners face right-handed pitching, though Haniger should be a mainstay in the lineup against southpaws. He's gone 10-for-22 (.455) with two homers and seven RBI over his last six games, posting three multi-hit efforts in that span. The infielder continues to hit well despite often being in the bottom half of the order.       Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports that Royce Lewis (quad) is likely to be activated off the injured list Tuesday.

      Advice: Lewis is going to play third base Sunday during his rehab assignment for Triple-A St. Paul. The 24-year-old will then have a chance to return to the Minnesota lineup as long as everything goes well in that outing. Lewis has significant fantasy upside, and if he’s still on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues, he’s well worth roster consideration.       The Twins are expected to reinstate Lewis (quadricep) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's series opener versus the Yankees, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Lewis has been on the shelf since suffering a right quad strain in the Twins' March 28 season opener, but the standout infielder looks to be on the cusp of rejoining the big club. He began a rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul on May 25 and has thus far made five starts in the minors, going 3-for-19 with a double, a stolen base and two runs. According to Park, Lewis is scheduled to start at third base for St. Paul in Sunday's game against Rochester, and if all goes well, the 24-year-old should get the green light to return from the IL.
