    • Perfect at plate Friday
Cronenworth went 5-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, two RBI and four runs scored in Friday's 9-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: This was Cronenworth's first five-hit game. He's been pretty good lately with five multi-hit efforts over his last 13 contests, going 16-for-50 (.320) in that span. The infielder's big game lifted his slashing line to .266/.330/.464 with 12 homers, 49 RBI, 36 runs scored, 17 doubles and one stolen base over 75 contests this season. • Converts 14th save
Estevez struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Estevez has not put a runner on base over his last eight innings, striking out eight and earning seven saves and a win in that span. A groundout moved the initial runner to third base in the 10th inning, but Estevez struck out the next two batters to protect the one-run lead. He's now 14-for-17 in save chances with a 3.38 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB over 24 innings. This is arguably the best Estevez has ever looked in the majors, which will boost his trade value, though he's unlikely to be a primary closer on a different team if a deal comes to fruition. • Continues power surge
Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Lewis homered for the fifth time in his last six games, taking Joey Estes deep in the sixth inning. With 10 homers, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over just 16 contests this season, Lewis is enjoying a breakout campaign despite missing over two months with an injury. It's likely that his power will regress at some point, but Lewis is talented enough to offer a safe floor for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 pm

    • Jake Cronenworth has five-hit day in win over MIL
Jake Cronenworth went 5-for-5 with a homer, four runs scored and a stolen base in a 9-5 win over the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: Cronenworth and Manny Machado combined for nine hits on Friday, which is a large number. The infielder hit his 12th homer of the season in the sixth off Colin Rea. The five knocks for Cronenworth give him seven in the last two games, and he’s seen his average rise from .251 to .266. The 30-year-old has been streaky for the majority of his career, and he appears to be on the right side of that right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:00 pm

    • Carlos Estévez gets save against Dodgers
Carlos Estévez struck out two while picking up a save in a scoreless inning of work against the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Estévez has been one of the few bright spots for the Angels this year, and now has 14 saves on the season and a 3.38 ERA. With Los Angeles nowhere near contention for a postseason spot, it would seem likely that the 31-year-old is pitching for a new team before August. Whether that’s in a closing role or not is a big question. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm
    • Royce Lewis hits 10th homer in 16th game
Royce Lewis homered and went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: Incredible. That’s Lewis’s 10th homer of the season, and it comes in just the 10th game of the season for the 25-year-old. He didn’t pick up any other hits and struck out twice, but it’s hard to care. What Lewis is doing right now is spectacular. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 pm

    • Carlos Rodón touched up by Braves
Carlos Rodón allowed seven earned runs on Friday against the Braves. They had 11 hits while Rodón struck out just three and walked two.

Advice: Rodón was never comfortable in this one. New York is in the midst of a massive heat wave and Rodón spent most of his time rubbing the ball for a better grip and wiping sweat from his face. His slider was all over the place, which could potentially be explained by poor grip. Rodón will look to right the ship next week in Toronto. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:26 pm

    • Kerry Carpenter (back) to start baseball activity
Kerry Carpenter (back) told reporters on Friday that he has been cleared to start baseball activities on Monday.

Advice: The 26-year-old slugger will need at least a couple of weeks to ramp back up and will require a minor league rehab assignment before he’s ready to return to the Tigers’ lineup. If all goes well and he’s able to avoid any setbacks, we could see him back in the Olde English D right after the All-Star break. Before landing on the injured list, Carpenter was hitting .283/.342/.572 with eight homers and 29 RBI in his first 50 ballgames. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:36 pm

    • TJ Friedl (hamstring) returns to action on Friday
TJ Friedl (hamstring) returned to the Reds’ starting lineup for Friday night’s series opener against the Red Sox.

Advice: Friedl had missed each of the team’s last two games due to tightness in his hamstring. The 28-year-old outfielder has struggled to stay on the field this season, managing to hit .214/.320/.381 with four homers, 15 RBI and six stolen bases in just 23 games in-between stints on the injured list. He’s starting in left field and batting leadoff for the Reds on Friday night against Kutter Crawford and the Red Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:17 pm
