      Crawford's next start will come Tuesday in Miami after his last outing was suspended by rain, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

      Advice: Crawford threw only 23 pitches over 1.1 scoreless innings Wednesday against the Blue Jays before inclement weather forced an early end to his night. That game will be resumed Aug. 26 as part of a split doubleheader. Despite the righty's limited workload in that outing, the Red Sox have elected to give Crawford a full five days of rest before his next start.       Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hand) was held out of the Marlins’ starting lineup on Friday after being hit by a pitch on Thursday.

      Advice: X-rays came back negative for any fractures, but the 26-year-old outfielder was still a bit sore on Friday so the decision was made to hold him out of action. De la Cruz would then add another two singles in the contest, giving him his fifth three-hit performance this month and third in his last six games. Over that latter stretch he's batting .464 (13-for-28) with two homers, four RBI and seven runs scored.
