    • Report: White Sox intend to trade Garrett Crochet
      USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reported that “the White Sox intend to trade [Garrett Crochet] by the July 30 trade deadline.”

      Advice: According to Nightengale, the White Sox “quietly engaged in brief contract extension talks” with Crochet,” but there is “no optimism towards reaching an agreement,” so the team is now intent on moving him. As of now, the White Sox have allegedly had 15 teams call to express interest in Crochet, who is making just $800,000 and is under team control through 2026. Some potential concerns surrounding the left-hander are just how much he’ll pitch over the summer after having already thrown 21 more innings than his entire career total heading into this season. There are some additional concerns about whether “a team acquiring Crochet may have to offer a contract extension for him to lift those innings restrictions in the second half because of the potential of an injury risk.” We should get more clarity on Crochet’s market over the next couple of weeks, but he seems like a strong bet to be dealt.       Moreno (thumb) is expected to be activated ahead of a three-game series against the Dodgers beginning Tuesday, Arizona Sports reports.

      Advice: The Diamondbacks designated Tucker Barnhart on Sunday, which indicates Moreno should be ready to go Tuesday after catching in a rehab game at the Arizona Complex League over the weekend.       Arozarena went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday against the Nationals.

      Advice: Arozarena went deep in the seventh inning to record his 11th homer of the season and third of June. The performance wrapped up a solid month, as he hit .291 with nine RBI, 10 runs scored and three stolen bases in 25 games.     • Handed loss in St. Louis
      Grene (5-4) allowed a run on four hits and two walks over 4.2 innings Sunday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Cardinals.

      Advice: Greene kept St. Louis off the board until Alec Burleson knocked an RBI single in the fifth inning. While that was the only run charged against Greene, Cincinnati was shut out, leaving him with the tough-luck loss. While he needed 95 pitches to get through 4.2 frames, he managed to force 16 swinging strikes. Greene has failed to complete five innings in two straight outings and has just one quality start over his last six appearances.       Turner went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two strikeouts in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Marlins.

      Advice: Turner gave himself the best birthday present by driving in the go-ahead runs in Sunday's win. He hit a two-run single in the seventh to complete the Phillies comeback after trailing 6-2. Turner has had three multi-hit games over his last five and at least one hit in 10 of his last 12.       Crochet came away with a no-decision in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies in 14 innings, striking out 11 over seven frames while allowing two earned runs on five hits and zero walks.

      Advice: After Crochet had thrown 85 and 91 pitches in his prior two starts, White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Tuesday that the lefty's workload was "going to start dwindling" moving forward while the White Sox look to prioritize his long-term health. Even though he was mowing down the Colorado lineup for most of the afternoon, Crochet was still pulled after tossing 88 pitches and covering seven innings. If Crochet's pitch count continues to hover around the 85-to-90 range in his future starts, it could hurt his chances of coming away with wins, though he's notched only six wins through his first 18 starts while he's been supported by a weak White Sox lineup. Even so, Crochet remains a must-start fantasy option as long as he's active, as he's thus far provided elite ratios whenever he's taken the hill. The southpaw now owns a 3.02 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP and a league-leading 141 strikeouts over 101.1 innings this season. He's tentatively scheduled for a road start in Miami next weekend.     • Crochet records 11 strikeouts in no-decision
      Garrett Crochet allowed two runs in seven innings and got a no-decision against the Rockies on Sunday.



      Advice: Crochet gave up five hits, walked none and struck out 11. He was excellent once again. Both runs Crochet allowed came in the second inning when the Rockies scored on a balk and a sacrifice fly. Otherwise, he dominated with 11 strikeouts and now has a 3.02 ERA on the season. Crochet continues to make his case for the American League Cy Young award. In his last 11 starts, he has a 1.48 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 94 strikeouts in 66 2/3 innings. The 25-year-old left-hander is set to face the Marlins on the road next weekend.

    • Greene allows one run in loss to Cardinals Sunday
      Hunter Greene allowed one run in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Cardinals on Sunday.



      Advice: Greene gave up four hits, walked two and struck out six. It was certainly better than his last start where he allowed six runs, but the Cardinals worked up his pitch count and he was unable to complete even five innings. Greene has a 3.70 ERA and 4.29 xFIP on the season. The 24-year-old right-hander is set to face the Tigers at home next weekend.

    • Randy Arozarena homers in win
      Randy Arozarena went 2-for-4 with a solo home run on Sunday against the Nationals.

      Advice: Arozarena has been trending up of late and this game may have been the exclamation point on his return to self. He has a hit in 12 of his last 14 games and on Sunday became the fifth player this season to hit four balls at least 105 MPH in the same game joining Yordan Alvarez, Juan Soto, Ketel Marte, and Gunnar Henderson.
