    • Luis Robert Jr. (hip) expected to return mid-May
White Sox’ general manager Chris Getz said Friday that Luis Robert Jr. (hip) should be able to return to the team’s lineup in mid-May.

Advice: That would put him at the front end of that initial 6-8 week timeframe that was given when he was diagnosed with a Grade 2 hip flexor strain. The White Sox could most certainly benefit from the 26-year-old superstar’s return to the lineup, as their offense has really struggled to score runs consistently. Getz also noted that Tommy Pham and Rafael Ortega will carry the load in center field until Robert is able to return. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

    • Has torn cartilage in ribcage
Casas revealed Friday that he's dealing with torn cartilage in his left ribcage, not a fractured rib as had been previously reported, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: The injury is an unusual one and carries a wide range of potential timetables, with Casas saying it could be anywhere from three to nine weeks before he's cleared for cardio activities and strengthening. Once that happens, he would presumably need several more weeks before he's game-ready. Casas did add that he's very optimistic he'll be back at some point this season, it's just unclear when that might be. Bobby Dalbec is currently filling in at first base for the Red Sox. • Casas (rib) suffered torn cartilage, not fracture
Triston Casas told reporters that he didn’t fracture his rib, but rather suffered torn cartilage.

Advice: It’s a bit of a twist for Casas’ injury that was initially reported as a broken rib, but the 24-year-old is dealing with torn cartilage that is a bit unusual with a non-contact injury. Despite the change of diagnosis, Casas’ timetable to return is still very much in question ranging from three weeks to nine weeks before he can start ramping up for his return. He was optimistic that he can return this season, but for the time being, it’s a huge loss for the Boston’s lineup and fantasy managers. Rotoworld Today, 12:45 pm

    • Facing hitters Monday
Senga (shoulder) threw an up-and-down bullpen session Thursday and is slated to face hitters Monday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It will be the right-hander's first time facing hitters since he was diagnosed with a shoulder capsule strain back in late February. Senga still faces a long road ahead, but he's making nice progress and shouldn't be too far off from a rehab assignment if all continues to go well. He is on the 60-day injured list and not eligible for activation until late May. Rotowire.com Today, 12:40 pm

    • Fans seven in no-decision
Keller allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over five frames in a no-decision against the Brewers on Thursday while striking out seven.

Advice: Keller got off to a rocky start, surrendering a solo home run to William Contreras in the second at-bat of the game. Back-to-back walks to open the frame and some shaky defense behind him then led to two more runs in the third. The right-hander failed to make it through six innings for the first time in his last four starts while allowing four earned runs for the fourth time this season. On a positive note, Keller did record his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign with seven. Rotowire.com Today, 3:51 am
    • Reaches three times, swipes base
Betts went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run and a stolen base against the Nationals in Thursday's 2-1 victory.

Advice: Betts scored the decisive run in the contest by walking, swiping second base and crossing the plate on a Freddie Freeman double in the eighth inning. Betts seems to be running more frequently so far this season -- the stolen base was his sixth of the campaign through 27 contests, putting him well on pace to reach 20 steals for the first time since 2018. That has to be sweet music to his fantasy managers' ears, and Betts is paying huge dividends in other areas as well, slashing .374/.477/.636 with six homers, 21 RBI and 27 runs. • Returns to action
India started at designated hitter and went 0-for-4 in Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: India, who made his first appearance since Saturday after dealing with an illness, went hitless for the seventh time in the last nine contests. He entered the game in a 4-for-42 slump over the past 13 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:16 pm

    • Mookie Betts tallies two hits, steals base in win
Mookie Betts went 2-for-3 with his sixth stolen base of the season on Thursday in the Dodgers’ win over the Nationals.

Advice: Betts continues to serve as Los Angeles’ primary offensive catalyst, which is even more unbelievable considering he’s playing shortstop everyday for the first time in his professional career. It’s unreal. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar’s latest multi-hit effort raises his batting average to a sublime .374 (40-for-107) mark to go along with 27 runs scored, six homers, 21 RBI and six steals through 27 games. • Next start will be Monday
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that Paxton's next start will be at Arizona on Monday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Paxton would be on regular rest Sunday after he started Tuesday's game against the Nationals, but the Dodgers will go with a bullpen game Sunday in Toronto and give Paxton an extra day of rest. The southpaw has managed a 2.61 ERA but a 1.55 WHIP and 11:17 K:BB through 20.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:25 pm
