    • Birdsong notches first career win vs. Braves
Hayden Birdsong allowed two earned runs over five innings while striking out five to pick up his first win on Tuesday over the Braves.

Advice: Birdsong pitched a scoreless first inning but gave up back-to-back solo shots to Austin Riley and Sean Murphy in the second. Those would be the only runs allowed by Birdsong, who has now allowed five earned runs over his first 9 2/3 innings pitched on the season. The 22-year-old righty hasn’t blown away the competition in his first two career starts, but he’s given his team a chance to win in both outings despite a 1.55 WHIP. Birdsong is scheduled to make his third career start on Sunday against the Guardians. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:22 pm
    • Lindor has two hits, HR in win over Nationals
Francisco Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a 7-2 win over the Nationals in 10 innings on Tuesday.

Advice: Lindor hit three balls over 100 mph on Tuesday, including a 101.9 mph double and a 100.5 mph home run that traveled 403 feet for his 14th big fly of the season. The veteran may have started the year slowly, but he’s hitting .315 over his last six weeks with six home runs, 26 runs scored, and nine steals in 35 games. That will certainly do. • Making next start Tuesday
Birdsong is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday in Atlanta, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The banged-up Giants have only two members of their Opening Day rotation (Logan Webb and Jordan Hicks) available at the moment, so San Francisco should have a spot available for Birdsong until at least three of Kyle Harrison (ankle), Blake Snell (groin), Alex Cobb (hip), Robbie Ray (elbow) and Keaton Winn (elbow) come back from the injured list. After being expedited to the big leagues last week following just two starts at Triple-A Sacramento, Birdsong demonstrated shaky command in his MLB debut against the Cubs on Wednesday, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. On a positive note, Birdsong induced nine swings and misses and finished with five punchouts. His long-term outlook remains promising, but Birdsong shapes up as a risky fantasy option heading into what will likely be a two-start week. After facing off against Atlanta, the 23-year-old right-hander lines up for another turn Sunday in Cleveland. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:02 pm
    • Knocks three hits
Ramos went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and one RBI in Sunday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Ramos knocked an RBI double and scored a run in the fourth inning before doubling and scoring again in the eighth. The 24-year-old outfielder has cooled off a bit in the second half of the month, going just 10-for-50 (.200) over his last 12 games. Still, he finishes June with 14 extra-base hits while hitting .304 (34-for-112) across 27 games. Ramos is now slashing .294/.368/.508 with 37 RBI and 20 extra-base hits through 48 games. • Handed loss in St. Louis
Grene (5-4) allowed a run on four hits and two walks over 4.2 innings Sunday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Cardinals.

Advice: Greene kept St. Louis off the board until Alec Burleson knocked an RBI single in the fifth inning. While that was the only run charged against Greene, Cincinnati was shut out, leaving him with the tough-luck loss. While he needed 95 pitches to get through 4.2 frames, he managed to force 16 swinging strikes. Greene has failed to complete five innings in two straight outings and has just one quality start over his last six appearances. He'll carry a 3.70 ERA into his next start, which is lined up to be at home against Detroit. Rotowire.com Jun 30, 8:25 pm

    • Paul Sewald lowers ERA to 0.54 on Sunday
Paul Sewald struck out two in a perfect ninth inning on Sunday against the Athletics.

Advice: It was a non-save situation, with Arizona leading by four runs entering the final frame, but Sewald remained locked-in nonetheless, needing just 13 pitches (11 strikes) to end the game. The 34-year-old righty has reeled off 17 consecutive scoreless appearances since giving up one run back on May 7 in his season debut. He’s converted all 11 of his save chances this season and boasts a microscopic 0.54 ERA, 0.48 WHIP and 15/3 K/BB ratio across 16 2/3 innings (18 appearances). Simply put, he’s still one of the top closers in the entire fantasy landscape. Rotoworld Jun 30, 3:52 pm

    • Heliot Ramos powers Giants to blowout win over Dodgers
Heliot Ramos went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Sunday, sparking the Giants to a 10-4 blowout victory over the Dodgers.

Advice: Ramos was once again at the epicenter of an impressive afternoon for San Francisco’s offense as his three-hit performance helped spark the Giants to an eventual blowout win where they tallied 10 runs on 16 hits. The 24-year-old outfielder is in the midst of a sustained breakout campaign where he’s batting .294/.368/.878 with 10 homers, 37 RBI and one steal over 212 plate appearances through 48 games. • Allows seven runs in loss
Gausman (6-7) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing seven runs on seven hits, five walks and a hit batsman against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gausman needed 107 pitches to record 13 outs, allowing season highs in runs (seven) and walks (five) while being tagged for three extra-base hits including a first-inning Aaron Judge two-run blast. Gausman did strike out seven batters to represent the fourth time this season he's reached at least seven in an outing, but that's nothing more than a minor silver lining around Sunday's ugly performance. It's the fifth time this season Gausman has allowed at least five runs in a start, and he closes the month of June with a 5.64 ERA over 36.2 innings spanning six starts. His next start is tentatively slated for when the Blue Jays head west to take on the Mariners in Seattle next weekend. Rotowire.com Jun 30, 2:57 pm
    • Out of Sunday's lineup
Heim is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Heim has a .163/.265/.233 slash line in his past 13 games and will sit for Sunday's series finale. Andrew Knizner will take over behind the plate and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Jun 30, 1:59 pm
