    • Trevor Megill slams door on Rockies in ninth
Trevor Megill slammed the door on the Rockies in the ninth inning on Tuesday evening, preserving a one-run lead to notch his 18th save of the season.

Advice: The Brewers rallied to score twice in the top half of the ninth inning, setting the stage for Megill to come on and do his thing. The 30-year-old hurler made it look easy once again, getting Ezequiel Tovar on a fly ball to center and Brendan Rodgers on a swinging third strike to begin the inning. He did allow a two-out single to Ryan McMahon, but battled back to get Elias Diaz on a swinging third strike to end it. Megill has been awesome in the closer’s role for the Brewers this season, converting 18 of his 19 save chances while registering a masterful 1.59 ERA over 28 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • Strikes out seven in win
Crawford (4-7) earned the win against the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks with seven strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Crawford allowed a solo home run to Jake Burger in the fifth inning but was otherwise fantastic, registering a whopping 16 swinging strikes on just 72 pitches. He only threw 23 pitches June 26 as the game was suspended for weather but has now logged quality starts in his past four official contests. On the season, the 28-year-old owns a 3.47 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 102:28 K:BB over 98.2 innings and lines up for a road matchup with the Yankees this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:16 pm
    • Logs quality start in no-decision
Flexen did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Guardians, allowing six runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Flexen entered the sixth inning in a 3-3 tie but an error by Paul DeJong led to three unearned runs before he finished the frame at 101 pitches. It wasn't the most appealing quality start, but Flexen has now logged two in his past three outings. The 30-year-old has not recorded a win since May 8 and owns a 5.08 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 63:33 K:BB over 85 innings. He lines up for a road matchup with the Marlins this weekend. • Earns 31st save
Helsley earned a save against the Pirates on Tuesday, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Helsley was asked to protect a 7-4 lead in the ninth inning and did so on 17 pitches. He leads the league with 31 saves and has not blown a save chance since his first outing of the season. Through 38 innings, the 29-year-old owns a 2.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB. • Chad Green escapes with save
Chad Green allowed one hit in the ninth inning while earning a save in a 7-6 win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Green started the inning by allowing a double but then struck out Joey Loperfido and Trey Cabbage before getting Jose Altuve to fly out to end the game. It was just his third save of the season, but the veteran has been tremendous with a 1.37 ERA. With Yimi Garcia nearing his return, Green may not see many more save opportunities, but he’s worth rostering in the meantime. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:05 pm

    • Duran earns 13th save in win over Tigers
Jhoan Duran pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Duran now has 13 saves on the season, as he lowered his WHIP in the year to 0.98 thanks to a solid frame against the Tigers, in which he struck out one batter. Duran needed just 13 pitches to get through the inning and has converted four of his last five save opportunities. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:03 pm

    • Hoffman picks up surprise save vs. Cubs
Jeff Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his seventh save in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

Advice: The Phillies entered the ninth inning with a comfortable 6-1 lead but saw that lead slip to 6-4 after reliever José Ruiz failed to record an out while allowing a three-run homer to Seiya Suzuki. Hoffman ended up being tasked with putting out the fire and went on to strike out two of the three batters he faced. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:00 pm
    • Wesneski allows five earned in loss to Phillies
Hayden Wesneski allowed five hits and five earned runs over five innings while striking out seven in Tuesday’s loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Things couldn’t have gone much worse for Wesneski, who allowed a season-high five runs on Tuesday against the Phillies. Shortstop Trea Turner was responsible for the majority of that damage, as he took Wesneski deep twice while driving in three runs. Wesneski has struck out seven batters in back-to-back games and will carry a 4.14 ERA into his next start, which is set for Sunday against the Angels. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm

    • Michael Mercado earns first career win vs. Cubs
Michael Mercado allowed two hits and one earned run over five innings to pick up the win on Tuesday against the Cubs.

Advice: Mercado made his first career start on Tuesday night and was about as good as we could have hoped for. The 25-year-old righty allowed just four baserunners on the evening, with three of those coming in the third inning. The lone run he allowed came on a double by Cody Bellinger, but Mercado did more than enough to limit the Cubs’ bats to pick up his first career win in the big leagues. With Spencer Turnbull on the 15-day IL, Mercado will have a chance to make another start or two. He’s scheduled to toe the rubber again on Sunday against the Braves. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:42 pm
